How will the CM know if you have ridden the ride already? Will something be scanned onto your hotel key(or whatever you show for FOTL) or will it just be if they saw you ride it already? If it's only if they saw you ride it, how will they even know? Most of them dont even look at you!
Also, my two cents- if I pay to have a privaledge, then I should be entitiled to it. Everyone has the option to save and get the same benefit. If they chose to go cheaper, then they shouldn't expect to have the same perks as someone who has saved to get extra perks. Its no different than staying in a regular room or a concierge room. Those of us who stay concerierge get the extra perks( the food, the extra service, etc) because we have paid for them. Eveyone has the option, but it seems that some people just want all the perks without having to pay for it.

Was this post intended to be posted in the other thread on FOTL?

At Mummy, they are scanning the cards. They haven't started doing that at all the rides yet though.

What if you are a family of 5 and only 2 will ride the "coasters". Can those 2 people use the room keys of the other 3 family members to go back on after they used their own? Would this be okay.......or illegal??

BUMP!! I would like the answer to this Coaster ? also! We are a family of 5 and only my 2 teens ride the coasters. And has anybody else been scanned on the rides we are supposed to ride only once?? Thanks, Joan

If you are talking about the express plus passes, the CM marks the ticket so you can not get in the express line again. You only get to the front of the line once with this pass.

Actually we were talking about the changes to FOTL for Hotel Guests. Sorry I did not make this clear when I asked the question. So are they scanning everyone that is using FOTL for the rides you can only do once with your Hotel Key before 3pm?? And if only 2 out of 5 Hotel Guests are riding the coasters can you use another member of the family's key for a second ride?? Thanks, Joan

Goofy's Friend, Hopefully we can get some replies! I will be at the HRH July 23 and 24th. I am calling tomorrow AM to cancel the 25th and will let them know that I am not too happy with the change. I think that we should have been given more notice if they were changing FOTL. We will be at WDW starting on the 19th and then go to HRH for 2 nites and then back to WDW. We are only doing HRH for the FOTL pass.I am hoping we can exchange keys because my 2-teens LOVE the Hulk Coaster! I am sure we will adjust to the new RULES, it just seems ROTTEN of Universal to book us at RACK RATE(and I booked MONTHS ago) and then switch the deal on us!! Joan

I agree that it is rotten that the rules were changed without notice. I just booked our room at the RP last week and was not made aware of the changes when they told me about FOTL. Sorry you are paying rack rate.....that stinks. We are going a couple weeks after you, so I'll be anxious for you and others to post when you return to see how things work out.

I'm not going to let it ruin our trip.......it will be fun anyway. There were only a few rides that we rode about 2 or 3 times in a row last trip, so we will do them first in the morning or wait until the evening. Have fun!:sunny:

The only ride they were scanning Hotel Guest Cards ( Room Keys) was the mummy. This happened every day, was there from 7/6 through 7/10. One ride prior to 3:00 PM, then you can ride as much as you want. I don't know if they are doing it for all the rides or plan to. Last year they were scanning also, but I was told they were doing this to see what the guests were doing. During this visit all other rides did not have a scanner. However with the sale of express tickets, FOTL is no more for some attractions. Jimmy Nuetron, most waits were at least two shows during the early afternoon. Spiderman 15 Minutes sometimes, MIB could hit 15 minutes. No waits were of course Shrek, Jurrasic Park, Duelling Dragons, Hulk most of the time. BTTF was hit or miss, so was DDRSF, and BBRB.
