How will Night of Joy affect my trip?

Hi all,

So I'm going back to WDW in September and loved how quiet it was last year at that time so booked the same dates (with a few more at the end) so I arrived on Sun 7th Sept last year and I missed the Night of Joy crowds.

Unfortunately this year Night of Joy (and now I've realised Labour Day) fall in the first week of my trip. I'm going at this time because of the low crowds so I'm wondering if these 2 events will have an impact on my commando touring or can they be avoided quite easily?

Any advice would be awesome!!!

NoJ only affects MK, as it closes that park at 7PM on those nights (Sept. 11 & 12.)

Expect Labor Day to increase the crowds, in general, for the holiday weekend, Sept. 4-7 (mostly Sept 4-6.)

Night of Joy is a hard ticket event, meaning it takes place after MK closes to guests who don't have tickets for it, so I don't think it will have much effect, especially since most people don't want to go to MK when the hours are shorter, and there's no nighttime entertainment. EasyWDW is showing that week as pretty low crowds:

If you can get the night time entertainment in on another night, going to MK during the day of the NoJ event will be great!. Because MK and AK will both close early that Fri, you may want to spend the evening in DTD as that will make both HS and EP more crowded than usual.

Are there any fireworks on the NOJ nights? If so, around what time? We aren't attending, but might want to watch the fireworks from somewhere else. Which leads to my next question, can you see MK fireworks at Wilderness Lodge? TIA.

No fireworks on those nights. There are concerts going on until midnight (or maybe 1 am?) at the stage in front of the castle.

We will be there the same week! Attending mnsshp on labor day, and going to enjoy the low crowds on Friday (NoJ) until park closing. Does anyone know the latest time I can make a dinner reservation without having a ticket for NoJ? I want to try for a 630...
