How will fastpass+ be affected by split stay

I will be staying at AKV-Kidani at the end of the month. We used two memberships and linked the reservations together. We loaded everything onto MDE. The only thing we don't have is magic bands, we will be using the resort key cards.

You are eligible for Magic Bands. Do you not want them?

As for FP+, a split-stay will have no effect. You are allowed to make selections for the number of days on the pass linked to your MDE account.

I would like to use magic bands, but since I have a linked reservation, It won't let me do online check in without getting an error. Without checking in online, it won't let me pick magic bands.

Most people are getting those on line check in errors. Try going to www.mydisneyreservation.com and doing on line check in there.

How? My MDE still says manage magic bands..not customize magic bands

I didn't do on-line check in this trip, and have magic bands. I have 3 MagicBands since it's a 3-way split stay, and the CMs told me that although they'll eventually want guests to reuse MBs, for now they want a new band for each stay part. I did On-line check in last stay, and since it didn't save me any time at all, I just didn't bother for this upcoming stay.

I have a split stay booked Nov 30-Dec 4 at BWV and then Dec 4 - Dec 8 at AKV. I noticed that my DME account said I could get Magic Bands and book FP+ for the BW stay but not the AK stay. When I called about it today the CM told me that BW is part of the test phase in November so I can get FP+ with magic bands for that part but not the AK one. She told me to watch my account to see if it gets added or, if not, when I get there they can add the AK stay to my Magic Band for me.

That's weird because Jambo has been part of the test for a while and Kidani was starting around Sept 30 that is weird you aren't getting them to come up for you. We stayed at AKL Kidani and while they weren't testing we used our bands for everything but FP+. We had them

We are staying split-stay next month at AKV. We were able to order and customize magic bands and schedule fastpass+ times without doing online check-in. We linked our ressies to MDE and used that to customize everything.

We have split stay coming up beginning at AkV on 11/9 and moving to BLT. I did the online check in, didn't know I had to for FP but just did it for convenience. I have our FP for all but last day picked because I have 5 day tix from UT that I want to upgrade to AP' s after using. Now, I don't know it I will get the gate price on the upgrade or not. I have heard that once linked to your account you might not...

Here's the funny thing...

I just got back from a split stay last weekend. We did 2 nights at OKW first and then 3 nights at BLT. The BLT nights were on the MB test. So, we were not able to book FP+ for the days when we were at OKW (which were right before our BLT checkin.) However, imagine our shock and surprise to find out the day we were leaving OKW that... our MBs WORKED on the OKW door! So I'm wondering if each guest gets their own unique "access code" tied to the door where they are staying? We thought that was VERY interesting!

Hmmm.....

As for future trips, we were told that the MB are ours to keep and we can use them from here on out. We can book FP+ for 60 days out online. We were told by another CM that whoever is getting the MBs now can/should keep them and that they will last for 2 years and after that guests can purchase them for $15.

So, the bands are free now, but in the future we will have to pay for them?
