How/Where to you store your Kitchen Aid?

My kitchen aid mixer is called 'Kevin' and he is black and sits on my black granite benchtop. He looks gorgeous!!!!
I use Kevin at least several times a week and he is way too heavy for me to be lifting in and out of cupboards (I have back and neck problems).

I love 'Kevin' and my hubby got me the pasta attachment for Christmas so Kevin will soon be very busy helping me make ravioli.

I LOVE the pasta rollers for my kitchenaid....

Oy, I cannot even imagine having to lift those suckers, so I too keep mine on the counter. It's in that "dead space" corner where the counter meets the fridge. Now even sliding it forward for use is heavy enough, so thx to the PP for that placemat suggestion. Brill!

On the counter for all to see it pink prettiness:lovestruc

I use mine about once a week, but I like to keep it in a cabinet. One reason is because I have extra mixing bowls/tools and I like to keep them all together. The other reason is my prefered place to use it is on my island (largest counter in my kitchen and the sink is in the middle) but it would be in the way if I stored it there.

If I'm going to have to move it out of the corner onto my island, may as well put it away with it's other tools!

I've had mine since 1997, never had a problem pulling it out from underneith the counter.

I used to keep mine in my appliance pantry, but got tired of lugging it to/from the counter. Just before Christmas I moved it to the counter in a corner and it is so much more convenient!!

Ours has a cabinet under the counter, all to itself. It sits on a sort of shelf; to use it, you open the door and pull the shelf up to counter height and locks into place. To put it back, I just have to hold the shelf and push in a lock button on the side and guide it back down in the cabinet. I've finally learned to do it without smashing my finger, lol.

DH's grandma had that put in when she lived in this house, and she has a much nicer one in her new house.

THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR!!!!
Is there a manufacturer name on it? What would you call this type of thing?

MIne sits right on the counter, right next to the kitchenaid food processor. No need to put them anywhere, i use them almost every day
