How & When do we upgrade to AP?

We have a trip coming up in August. Sunday August 16th through Wednesday August 19th. The first night will be offsite and then from Mon-Wed we will be at POP. We are only doing one park day and that's Tuesday (MK).

We are looking to upgrade to FL. Resident Weekday Annual Passes. So how/when would we do this? Can we do it the day we check in to POP or must we use our park ticket first?

never heard of a week day annual pass, is this new? I know of passes for off season periods only (blackout dates apply) but not for just M-F.

Not sure if its new or not as this is the first time I've looked into AP. It's only for Florida Residents. Tickets can be used M-F only.
