How WELL can you SPELL???

This quiz was on MSN this morning on the most commonly misspelled words. I consider myself a pretty good speller but it sure challenged me!

I was pretty confident going in, but those were tricky words! I did score 13/15. I missed daiquiri and liaison.

BTW - I've learned that I shouldn't always rely on spell check to catch mistakes because it doesn't look at the word in context just if it matches one of the words in it's dictionary. The poem below passes with out a beep from either Word's spellcheck or grammar check:

The ones I got wrong:

1.) The drink, with or without alcohol, usually strawberry I think.

2.) The free weight. It just doesn't look right the way "they" spell it!

3.) One thousand years.

Gosh, I'm a terrible speller...I'm too scared to take the quiz! My DH was laughing at me the other day when I was typing a Dis post and had my dictionary out...but ever since I had someone quote one of my posts and make sure to include a [sic] in front of my misspelling, I've been a bit...sensitive (OK, slightly neurotic... I just looked up that spelling too. )
