Thanks Di! How are you doing?

And hello to everyone else, both posters and lurkers. Sickness has hit our house again, so I'm a little slow with my next update.

I hope everyone has a happy Valentine's Day, President's Day, weekend, and whatever else you may be celebrating! :yay:

Anymore updates??? popcorn::
Hope you're all feeling better

Thanks Di!
I think we're are finally well. The Bean had ear infections, and I was getting over a cold, but we're healthy now, and I'll try to add more to the report soon!

Lookng forward to reading more. Grandpa and Grandma sound awesome :goodvibes
:welcome: Thanks for reading! Grandma and Grandpa are great people. They've got everything in life figured out--that family is the most important thing and everything else is a very distant second.
5 days until your trip? How exciting! It looks like you love POP--I've never stayed there, but it seems like fun.

That's good (the being fine part, not the working part). Any upcoming trips being planned?

People that know me best know that I'm always late!

Anyway, I'm all caught up & can't wait to follow along! Little :yoda: is adorable!!! CSR is one of the resorts Nate & I are considering if we do an "adults-only" trip in August.:thumbsup2

Post more soon!:flower3: (no pressure though!;))

I would definitely consider CSR for an adults-only trip. I thought it was the prettiest of the 3 mods I've stayed at, but it's so big, which is hard for little kids and grandparents (even though the resort did accomodate us very nicely, I thought). If you both don't have a problem walking too much, CSR is very nice. Plus, you could always request a room closer to the main buildings or a bus stop. I think I still prefer POFQ, but CSR is a pretty close second.

:yoda: is adorable! We are going to have to come up with a new nickname.
Because you're so good at it, I bestow thee with the task of coming up with a new nickname! pixiedust:

:welcome: I'm interested to hear your thoughts about the parks during that time. I was surprised by the crowds. Sorry about the ME line and the slow luggage delivery--we must have gotten lucky, because we basically walked right on to ME.

Where did you stay?

We stayed at the BWV's - we had a boardwalk view and it was fantastic! I rented from a DVC owner and couldn't have been happier. I did have to change the room when I arrived - it was on the second floor all the way down by Jellyrolls which was a long walk to the elevator esp since I had a foot brace on. We loved seeing the fireworks from our balcony - Wishes and Illuminations. Illuminations was so loud but beautiful each night with the extra Christmas bonus they added at the end. The crowds weren't too bad, I didn't think except on Sunday at HS. My DS15 didn't join me on this trip because he hates crowds and I know if he had gone, he would have hated it after the 2nd day since it was so crowded but the rest of the week it was fine.

I love your pics and have to chuckle how Grandpa keeps almost getting lost.

I have returned after a LONG hiatus! I will try to finish this report soon! :goodvibes

I don't know how I missed your post! Sorry to take so long to respond. Your trip sounds great--I always thought the BWVs looked nice, even if the clown pool was a little scary.

What a great view! I had no idea you could see all of that from BWV. We didn't see the special Christmas Illuminations--sounds like we missed out!

Thanks! I hope you'll keep reading, even though I've been so slow. :sad2:

Big news! Due to a major mix-up (completely my fault), DH and I have some SW airline credits that we have to use before September. So, we're going to Disneyland--in 31 days! I'm so excited! :yay: My goal is to get this TR done before I leave so that I can start a new one when I get back!

So when you left us (a LONG time ago), we were returning from our afternoon at EPCOT with the anniversary divers. We were all taken by surprise when we came into our room and found this:

Grandpa and Grandma thought this was our doing, but it was totally Mousekeeping–they found the anniversary pins and made these cute lovebirds. How great! So, we enjoyed our towel sculpture and took a little nap and then got up and went to the Pepper Market for dinner. Here's :yoda: hanging out in the room.

If you’ve never been to Pepper Market, it’s a little different from other food courts. You place your order, get a stamp on a card, and then hand it to your server, who rings everything up and (if I remember correctly) brings you drinks. We had about three servers who fell in love with :yoda: and they were so kind and attentive. I thought one of them was going to come home with us! Pepper Market has a wide variety of food choices. It’s a bit pricey for a food court, but if you’re on DDP, it doesn’t matter. I had the pork and noodle dish at the Chinese station. The noodles were great, but the pork was quite dry and tough. The desserts were all great, though!

After dinner, we caught the bus to DHS for Osborne Lights. We had heard that during this time of year, the parks were rather empty–NOT TRUE!!!! It took forever just to get into the park. We were hoping to ride TSM, but we did not–the fast passes were gone, and the wait was super long, so no TSM for us. We did get on the Great Movie Ride–it was the longest I’ve ever waited for it.

Osborne Lights was beautiful and magical and lovely. The “snow” was great, and it was all just perfect and sweet. I think everyone in our party was quite impressed, even though it was crowded.

After the lights, we all waited at the commissary while DH checked one more time on the TSM line–still too long. So, we walked through DHS. I loved the holiday lights–so cool.

And so, that was the end of our first day in the parks–and we didn’t lose Grandpa! Can we get through another day? Wait and see!

:cool1::cool1:An update!!! :cool1::cool1:

I was beginning to think you'd given up!

Sounds like you had a fun day. The pepper market sounds interesting - I'd heard people say it was different, but no one had ever explained it before!

Can't wait to hear more!

Thanks Di! I'm glad someone is still reading.

I had heard quite good things about the Pepper Market, and I was a little disappointed. The food was OK, but the prices seemed rather high to me. I don't think I'd eat there if it wasn't for DDP. Maybe because it's a convention hotel, they can charge more.

That was also the only place in CSR that I received less than stellar service--one of the people at a food station was rather snippy with me because I asked her to repeat herself. People have bad days and everyone does that every now and then, but it just stood out because everyone else was SO kind.

I don't really like PM either, my family always seemed to eat at very different times as some food stations took longer to cook than others, I've only done it on the DDP and would really begrudge tipping for a meal I got myself :rotfl:

The towel animal you got was gorgeous, so sweet of them :)

I agree. One time, I waited 15 minutes for my meal--everyone else was pretty much done by the time mine came.

The towel animal you got was gorgeous, so sweet of them :)

I love those magic touches at WDW--that's what makes it so great.
