How upgrading to APs worked for us....

Wow ,if I had know there was even a slight chance of getting extra days, I would have waited to upgrade our tickets. I upgraded on our first day and then noticed a few days later, they had dated it from purchase date. Two months prior.

You can get that fixed by calling them or visiting Guest Relations. That is definitely NOT correct.

We debated upgrading to APs and if they would have done date of purchase we would have upgraded but the cast member told us date of first use which was the tie breaker not to purchase. This was just a few days ago. If they had done date of purchase we could have made another Thanksgiving trip next year and justified the cost.

When we say "date of purchase," we mean the date the original tickets were purchased. Some people have reported losing two months of use because the CM based the expiration on that date. You seem to be using the term to mean "date of upgrade."

We were at Disney the week of Thanksgiving and began using our Magic Your Way tickets on the 24th. However, on our last day the 30th we upgraded to Annual Passes. Our annual passes expire on November 30th of 2016 and we have been able to download all of the pictures DIsney photographers took of us during our trip. We meant to upgrade long before our last day but it was never convenient. However, it worked out great for us!

Thank you for the update! We are planning to update our MYW tickets during our trip in January and my main question was whether or not we would be able to download the photopass pictures from our trip. I was planning to upgrade the first day we get there but good to know we can still get the photos if we aren't able to get to the ticket booth.
