Thank you so much for your well wishes! I shared them all with Lauren.

In fact...Lauren said something so funny...I was reading them all and trying not to let William feel left out, since he was standing right there...so I stopped and told William the things they were writing about him being handsome, etc...(Which he loved and said that he knew he was handsome! He said, "A ten out of ten!" ) But Lauren followed that with..."ok, enough about William already...I want to hear more about me!" So uncharacteristic of her! And so funny!! She was beaming from ear to ear. I think she misses hearing me tell her everything my "internet friends" are saying about her.

Love the Hollywood theme to Lauren's party! Looks like everyone has a great time, and she looked so beautiful.

Yes, Hollywood was a fun theme! I am hoping the next batch of pics will have more of the decorations, too! Lauren's friend's Mom went all out...and refused to let Lauren's family pay for any of it! So sweet!

The pictures are beautiful. Looks like the party was wonderful!

My apologies to William, tell him not to let his beauty go to his head!! (of course he wont, he has a great family to keep him grounded - ) I'm so glad Lauren lets us get to know her! She is an inspiration - Live your best Life! Is Lauren a reader? For instance, Twilight? How about writing?

I cant wait for the after trip report - and I am going to keep my fingers crossed that you wont think of me as a stalker and consider having an early CP ressie some time in that Jan trip... (of course I keep remembering how early we have to get up for the Half, the Marathon - 3 AM! and its a VACATION!!)

Maroo - I was only off the boards for a few days (don't you hate when life gets in the way of the DIS) and I come back to find you have another TR! I am so jealous!

I don't know if you remember but my DH said no more Disney for awhile after we took 3 trips to WDW in 20 months. Well, he may be relenting a little! We just completed a trip with DD to NYC to see The Little Mermaid on Broadway and went to World of Disney twice and I did not see one eye roll. Then, the other night he says out of the blue - I would be okay with a Disney trip if it is a Disney cruise. Now Disney cruises seem to be very expensive so I don't think we will be doing that but I see this as big progress!

Heading over to subsribe to your new TR! No more or I will never keep up!

Some of you are probably very confused! Especially if you actually subscribed to this thread and it just popped up with a complete name change!

I decided to put all three of my pre-trippies in this one thread...

I am not sure how that is going to work...so maybe you guys can clue me in? Is this going to work???

Anyway...more to come...I am planning and trying to figure out how to catch all of you guys up without confusing you all! These three trips are going to be so much fun and SO different! So bear with me as I try to organize my thoughts to share them all with you guys!

Christmas In Disney


The Cast:

Joyce and Rachel

Joyce and Rachel are my good friends from church. We also enjoy being addicted to a few TV shows (One Tree Hill anyone?), so we get to hang out watching TV, too!

Rachel has a rare genetic disorder called mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS). There is a conference for families who are dealing with MPS in Orlando in December. Which is why we are going to Disney! In addition to MPS, Rachel also has a spinal cord injury from a surgery she had just 3 days before Katrina wiped out our coast. To our knowledge, Rachel is the oldest living person with MPS.

Rachel and Joyce have been to Disney before, but this is the first trip for Rachel since she has been using a power chair.

When we were planning Lauren's wish trip, Joyce was quoted to have asked why in the world I LIKE Disney? In fact, I really thought she was a Disney Hater... But...as we have started to plan this trip, I have discovered that Joyce actually LOVES Disney. She gets sorta giddy when we talk about it, actually.


Of course, Joyce and Rachel can't go to Disney without this precious girl...

Meet Ellie!

Ellie is the 4-yr-old grandaughter to Joyce, neice to Rachel.

Of course, Ellie has very sweet parents, too...so we guess they can come along!

This is Gina with Rachel and Ellie. Gina is Ellie's Mommy!

And this is Justin. Justin is the Daddy to Ellie and brother to Rachel!


So...are you confused yet? No? Ok...well let's add the rest of the cast!

Meet Rosemary! Rosemary is one of Rachel's best friends!


And then there is me...

Maroo! And I won't go through my details again. All you really need to know about me is...I am a DIS addict!

Dates of this trip...December 15 - 20! Rachel, Joyce, Rosemary and I are all driving down. Gina, Justin and Ellie are flying to meet us.

The January trip...Is all about me running through the castle!

That's right - I am going to run through the castle! I will probably walk the REST of the half marathon, but I do plan to RUN through that castle!

Dates, where I am staying, who I am raising money for...all of that...will be forthcoming...because, honestly, I don't have those details yet! I just know I am GOING in January!
