Woo-hoo for flights!

We have taken Magical Express and a private service (van) and had good experiences with both.

Magical Express is open to anyone flying into and out of Orlando and staying at a WDW resort. There are select airlines that allow you to check into your departing flight and check your bags at your resort instead of lugging them to the airport on DME and checking them yourself.

You should have no problem getting DME at that time but I believe you would need to get your own bags and take them on the bus since arrival is after 10pm. Late at night they sometimes wait a little bit for other arrivals but that should be the only issue. The other catch to DME is that your return bus will pick you up at the airport three hours prior to your departure time so it cuts into touring on your last day.

We had no issues both times we used DME.

We had a van transport us last time as we were tight on time due to an ADR and were happy with that as well. I am not sure if I can post the name of the company we used but feel free to PM if you want the information.

It will work out just fine either way!

So awesome! You have a flight! You're practically there now- okay, okay, well not really, but it IS one step closer. You'll have to let us know how Southwest went. I always go with the cheapest flight no matter how it gets there, cuz that's more money to spend at the parks. Unless, of course, it would mean too many less hours AWAY from the my vacay. I guess it's all such a balancing act in figuring out who to go with and what flight!

Hi there!!! We are overlapping by a few days...we get there Aug. 30 and leave Sept 6. I also bought my tickets on Southwest this morning! And got what I needed...$374 total for two people!

I have no idea how Magical Express works, but I know that when I tried to enter my flight information into the system it didn't seem to want to take it So I'm not sure what to do about that one!

I am going to have to get with my friend to have her tell me when she is coming in...and then figure out transportation from the airport! I imagine it will be Magical Express, but that I will have to grab my own luggage.

I am not sure how I am going to do this. I am tempted to do a hire...just because it would get me there fast since I am coming in so late. Plus, it might give me a little more time on the back end, too. Maybe enjoy a little more park time!

That flight that was packed...is actually completely sold out. Or at least "unavailable"... I am not sure why? Maybe they canceled the flight? But I can't imagine why? It is the Friday of Labor Day weekend? Maybe there is a school group or something traveling and they needed the whole plane?

Ok...I think you just convinced me to do CP one morning early!! WOW!!!

Now...if I can just talk Sharon into letting it be on THIS trip!

If not...maybe I can talk some of my peeps that may be going on FUTURE trips with me...into doing CP early in the morning. Hmm...

Perfect! That will be a great place to Disneymoon! You guys are going to have so much fun. Disney is both fun and romantic!

The end of my weeks has been pretty crazy. Lauren's "Sweet 16" birthday party is on Saturday. Since her Mom is on crutches, the rest of us have been very busy getting stuff bought, food, decorations, etc taken care of!

Oh it was a wonderful party!!

The weather was stormy and she still had about 50 people show up for the party, which is about what we expected. We took about 500 pictures of the "Hollywood" themed party (we had 2 paparazzi that took pics all night). I don't have the cameras, so I don't have the pictures yet...but as soon as I get some, I will post them.

Lauren's friends donated decorations, photography services, food, music...it was a wonderful outpouring from lots of folks to help Lauren have a special 16th birthday! Since Lauren can't drive, we wanted to make it extra special!

Lauren looked beautiful and everyone had a great time! Muffin even got to "dress up" and come.

I will post pics as soon as I can get some from our "official photographer."

I followed the link at the bottom of your post from when you posted on Tyler's Wish report and ....... we are at the same resort! I couldn't decide between it and All Star Sports where I have stayed twice. I let my 8 year old pick and she picked Pop! I have been in your position when I had to get up at the crack of dawn to make reservations, but we received a code for Free Dining in January. Now we will definitely have to meet up! Now I just need to get up at the crack of dawn to make dining reservations!

We used a professional photographer as one of our "paparazzi" - she goes to our church and did the whole party for free...But she has ALL of the pictures!
