How tough is Columbus Day Weekend

Looking to do F&W with the family. I'd imagine getting a reservation for BWV and BCV is very tough during F&W, let alone Columbus Day Weekend.

We contacted a rental service that said they'd need to check for us when the 7-month window opens. I'm afraid that it'll be too late and availability will be extremely limited, if any at all.

We're looking at BCV or BWV, preferably a studio. We'd be open to a preferred view or 1BR, but really don't wanna spend too much as we're going again for Christmas.

Obviously the alternative would be staying at Swan and Dolphin. My sister and I did it last year and loved it. We wanna be close to EPCOT, as this will be the only park we go to.

Don't give up hope. I would maybe give it a try. I for one am holding two reservations, one for Columbus Day weekend and one for the last weekend in October in studios for 4-5 nights. Because the booking needs to be so early I book two, using the one that works best once our personal schedule/vacation time gets firmed up and canceling the other one. I used to only book one trip but got burned when my daughters homecoming was the one weekend I booked and had to cancel it. I have seen posting websites where individuals rent their actual reservation, just calling member services to change the guest names and reissue the confirm. Not sure if that is a consideration for you but you can just google renting points and a couple websites pop up.

Rental brokers are not typically the fastest to book when rare reservations are released and hit the system. Sure, you could luck out, but it's not highly likely.

Be aware that 1BRs at BWV and BCV also already have one or more dates filled during Columbus Day weekend.
