Here are our video clips from Bingo.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iP8XfH9X4tU

Our group won 3 times, and won a raffel bag (contained DCL hat, leather portfolio, keychain, etc.). My family won Bingo twice and the other family with us one once. We both were down to 1 number on the final bingo that was for 9K.

Here's what you do for your best chances to win:
* First, forget about the paper cards. They take alot of your attention (which is not as fun) and actually cost more per card than the ones on the electronic handsets.
* Buy as many handsets as you can stand and if they have the option to get more, then buy more. The game is random, increase your chances of winning by increasing the number of cards you have, thus go with the cheapest cards.
* Get as many people (over 18) in your party to purchase handsets together, vs. just having one person get them all. This increases your chances of winning a raffel.
* Pay attention, if the last number called is not on your card you don't get bingo. As a group make sure everyone is paying attention. People should be calling out 4 away on 10 cards for each move.
* If your handset turns off don't panic, it is still being tracked.
* Keep your receipt very handy. If your handset goes dead raise your hand, they'll take care of everything quickly.
* Go before the game starts. Potty breaks will make you lose.
* If someone yells bingo don't quit until it is verified.
* When they call for a verifier, raise your hand, you get prizes for being the verifier.

Reminds me of the "professional" trivia game players on Carnival, who line their table with their many "genuine gold" plastic trophies. I think they have all the questions memorized! LOL
Or the ones with all the trivia "medals" DCL handed out.

Sure - spend 1K on 'cards' between all of them in the group and win $187...

Wanna have fun? Buy a couple of paper cards. What's the fun in watching an electronic machine just do the work for you? It's like the new slot machines... they just play by themselves...

Aw, that video makes me miss the Magic crew. It seem like the system is pretty much to PLAY ALL THE BINGO! Doesn't that cost a lot? I would kind of suck to spend all that money and not win. Congrats on your winnings though! That's got to be fun.

This post made me LOL.

I'm such a competitive person that I could never play Bingo. It would honestly ruin my entire cruise, and then I'd obsess over it and not have any fun at all :rotfl:

And I would probably end up spending $1K just to win $150. :rotfl2: Thanks, but no thanks.

We took our kids to play... My husband insisted he wasn't going to participate. Yeah, right. The minute I handed him the electronic machine he was hooked. Kept saying to me '3 away on 4 cards... 2 away...' I knew he would love it. He was even sweaty when it was all done!
So for fun I took him to the last game and we got paper cards... He was intense!!! It's all for fun, I didn't expect to win anything. Watching him was worth more than the $40 we spent!

We actually came out $90 positive.

What kills you are multiple bingos. We would have walked away with $300 more except we split the winnings with another player. My inlaws split bingo with 14 other people and got $50.

We like to play, but we are too cheap to pay for multiple games. ( haha, playing bingo on a Disney cruise = too cheap :) )

Our whole family huddles around one machine and maybe a few cars. We have won a few times including a rainforest pass, a small piece of jewelry, and the last bingo.

Bingo on a Disney cruise is so much fun, we look forward to it and have a great time. With a basic understanding of the math involved, it's not totally about winning. We just have a drink or two and enjoy it, if you happen to win, it's all the better.

After watching the video, I was thinking how sad for all the other kids and families in the room....to sit and watch one table win almost all the games.
:sad1:
Yes....I know...it's a game of chance and anyone can win....but I'm one of those who likes to see everyone win at least a little something.::yes::

Disney Bingo....by the way....is NOT for the true Bingo player. It used to be, until they started letting kids come in and play too. Now it's really just more "fun" than it is Bingo....except for the amount of money you'll spend.:lmao:

That's what I mean. You spent sooo much money on the cards, and only walk away with $90 in the end.

On our first DCL cruise, on the Magic, in December '03, my wife and I spent about $3-400 on card throughout the cruise on the old paper card bingo (no electronic cards at that time). On the jackpot game we had 3 sheets each and were down to 1 number on several cards, and my wife actually won. A Single winner on the jackpot - $6295.00 On each cruise after that we've not won more than $75 ay a single time, and we don't play every session of bingo, except the jackpot games.

My favorite thing about the "bingo" is that posters think Disney is a "better line" because they don't allow gambling....

:rotfl2:

Sorry folks, this is gambling:rotfl2:

I have no problem with it,but the "Disney is holier" view just cracks me up.

And doing the math on this video.. it doesn't add up to "big win" for anyone

(And this has to be the chessiest thing I have ever seen on DCL... Glad I have skipped that! LOL!)

(EDITING! I think this video is designed to make OP look good, not to show off other winners in the room. I wouldn't worry too much! )

It's true that bingo is straight up gambling, no different that a slot machine at a casino, the only difference is marketing. Since I love Disney and gambling, it's awesome!

Actually the other difference is that kids under 18 aren't even allowed in a casino... Disney wants to start them early on the Bingo LOL!
