How to visit WDW on $2000 budget??

I would agree that a $2000 budget is a bit tight for your family. Our may trip cost us about $2600 and that was staying off property, driving from michigan no meal plan and 7 day hopper passes. With only 2 day passes it would not seem very feasible when there are 4 parks to visit. You need a full day for each park and then some parks need more days yet. To save on cost look at staying off property especially if you have a van. Bring lots of your own snacks. Remeber that when driving you may need a couple of hotel nights for drive down and back. I wish you well with your planning. Just remeber, you do not want to short change the magic:)

We were thinking about renting a van for our upcoming trip (driving from AL to FL) but I didn't want to pay for a rental for a week that will just be sitting there not used....we stay on site and never get in our car after we get there! So I checked carrentals.com and found a few rental places that did one way rentals. The weird thing is that it was about $300 to go from AL to FL but only $50.00 to go from FL to AL. I found cheap flights on Southwest so we are flying there for $372.00 (for 4) and then getting the $50.00 rental to drive back.

FYI......The $50.00 for 2 day rental was from Budget.
