How to use old magic bands?

If you link your tickets to your MDX account, and you can see them listed...
That's all you have to do.

Anything in your MDX account, including your WDW resort reservations (and, therefore your room door,) can be accessed by any and all MagicBands that are also in our MDX account.

If your magic bands are linked to MDE and are active and your tickets are linked to MDE then you just use them. Nothing more to do as magic bands are interchangeable.

As others have said, everything is on your MDE account, not on the actual magic bands or key cards. Unless you deactivate them in your MDE account, they will still be working. You can use any MB that is activated interchangeably. You can change them out every hour if you want, they are just "keys" to access your MDE account.

For MOST important functions, MBs do not need or use batteries.
So, in effect, MB's can be used "forever" for any functions that require "tapping" the MB.

The MB's internal batteries don't come into play for guest's uses except for triggering some of the on-ride photos and/or videos. Some MBs 3 years old (or even older) still trigger the photos.

We have used our MBs that were 2 years old without any issues. That is supposed to be pushing the lifetime of the battery. YMMV.
