how to use fast pass on a split day?

Going to AK for early opening and then MK after lunch. Which park should we schedule FP for? Will be going in September.

On our split days we made our FP+ for the second park of the day. I figure get there's trope drop, do the headliners/must dos (AK - Safari and Expeidtion Everst) then do a few shows. To the room for a break, then to MK and use our FP+.

With those two parks? MK hands down. You should have no trouble at AK as long as you are there at opening.

Yep....bear mom has the right answer. Hit safari at rope drop....ride it twice if you want. Then Rapids and then Everest. Everest seems to be more or less a walk on until around 10 - 10:30 When we are there in May. Then you also have single rider line on Everest as well.

We have a day like this in late August and I got FP+s for MK in the evening, rather than AK. In our experience, AK is not that crowded in the mornings. Last year we barely used the FP+s in AK at all.

When we are going to two parks in a day we generally plan to use our FP+'s in the 2nd park, that way we can hit rope drop and ride/do everything we want to do in the 1st park and know that we will be able to ride at least 3 rides in the next park. These are generally open to close exhausting park days. We have started realizing the benefit of a break in the middle of the day though!

This is just my opinion, but... Any day I am going to MK, I want FP+ for MK. All day, part day, morning, afternoon, evening, I would rather have FP+ in MK than any other park.

Now I will admit... I got totally hooked on 7DMT in April this year, and FP+ is really important for that. My favorite things to do at AK are the Safari, the shows, the animal trails, so I really can do what I want at AK without FP+ if necessary.

I think the most important factor is, what are your top priority attractions at each park, and which of those attractions are most dependent on having FP+.

Get your Fastpasses for Magic Kingdom. You really will not need them for Animal Kingdom.
