How to use 2 credit cards when sharing villa?

In June we shared a 2BR at AKV with family. My BIL was offered the option of adding his own credit card to his KTTW card, we had already checked in and had our CC on our KTTW cards. The CM said it easily done. He opted to not add the CC, so I cannot report if it worked.

We used 2 seperate credit cards for our Key to the World charging during our OKW stay in a 2 bedroom 2 weeks ago. My FIL used his for he and my MIL and I used mine for my wife and I. Took all of about 5 minutes for the CM to set it up.

As far as the DDP, you can use more than one credit card for the purchase. I set up a conference call with my guest and MS and we paid for the DDP using two credit cards.

When we stayed at BCV last Feb. we had a CC and my brother also placed his CC on the room key. It was easy to place the CC's on the keys but it took about 45 min at the end of the trip to have the charges separated. It sure didn't work for us. We had totals for each card and the manager ended up using those to change the bill. What a nightmare for us!

We tried it this past June. Dsis and I supposedly had our own cards attached to the KTTW. It didn't work and we ended up having to get the charges fixed and then she just used her cc during the rest of the trip so we didn't have to make yet another trip to the front desk. It was BWV and our family had several trips to the front desk due to mistakes on their part.

We always do this when we stay with family. We all stay in a 2bd and have one cc on file when we check in . My sister and her husband use their room card to charge and I use mine. The night before checkout we go to the front desk and they run 2 separate bills based on the two room keys. They can separate them and then we each pay our own charges. This has never ever been a problem. We have been doing this for the past 5 yrs.

This is what we do as well! But the last time it ended up being a bit more work because I wanted to share my AP and DVC discounts with my family so they made me put everything on my card at the stores..(Restaurants didn't mind splitting the tip amongst people but it took a LONG time..). We just went to the front desk and settled up the night before we left!

The front desk strongly encouraged us NOT to wait until check in because they didn't know how reversing the charges would work or how long it would take...
