I know I read about this somewhere before, but I just did a search and can't find it. What is the best way to treat/deal with blisters. I tend to get them very easily, and don't want to be in pain with all the walking we will be doing should I get them. I thought maybe someone said Nu Skin, but isn't that a band aid? Does it work for blisters too? That would be great for Blizzard Beach.
Thanks in Advance :)

Moleskin is suppose to help them. Also keep your feet dry to protect from getting blisters.

Thanks! I knew the name was something skin. I usually get blisters from sandals because I have very arched feet and shoes never have a high enough bridge for me. I always get them on the tops of my feet. I'll probably be wearing tennis shoes while in WDW, but wanted to take something for blisters- just in case.
Thanks again!

I'm a Scout leader who has led hikes and the BSA handbooks says:

1. If you have a hot spot cover it with mole skin. You can buy it from Wal-Mart. Either cut it before hand or bring scissors to cut it.

2. If a water blister has formed, lance it with a needle near the base of the blister and let it drain. Cover the blister with gauze and cover with moleskin.

3. If a raw and open blister has formed, clean the area, cover the blister with gauze, and cover with moleskin.

I would personally be wary of using nu-skin. With mole skin, you cut the friction of the blistered area. I am not sure nu-skin would do this or hold up. I hope this helps.
::yes::

I love moleskin! I would reiterate, though, that you want to treat blisters while they're just a slight irritation, before they're fully formed. Since you will probably not be allowed to bring in nail scissors to cut the moleskin, it would help if you pre-cut several pieces to take to the parks.

Happy walking!

My daughter dances so we usually have moleskin for her. I did pack some for our Disney trip. I had to use it on my feet. Got blisters wearing sandals and trying to keep up with my DH in the parks! It worked great. Pre cutting is good advice...

I made the mistake of putting moleskin on a blister that had already formed (you're supposed to put it on while it's still a hotspot. Luckily one of the nurses at the first aid station helped me out. They have special bandaids that fit well on little toes.

I took two packs of moleskins on our last trip and we didn't get one blister! We usually get a lot of them. I cut the moleskin into a variety of sizes and put them in a plastic baggie and we put them on whenever we felt a hot spot.

I think next time I will pack a pair of kids safety scissors in my checked luggage so we can cut them to whatever size we need. -Steph

The blister shield is fabulous!! Can't even tell you got one (you can use it whether it's formed or not). I would have killed to have had some in January!! But I'll make sure not to forget them next time!

I never even thought of that! I dance too and have always just suffered. Those pointe shoes can be murder. My feet have become pretty tough from it, but I still get the top of the feet blisters sometimes wtih sandals that aren't worn in.

Thanks so much for all the tips everyone. I'll have to check out Wal-Mart!
