How to transfer an ADR

I searched for the answer to this, but it seemed like it has changed lately. Do we go through Disney to do this?

Hi everyone!

A fellow DISer is canceling an ADR. I had PMed her and she said I can have it but we're not sure what we do next. Does she just give me her confirmation #?

I transferred a few of my ADR's for our October 2007 trip, giving them to a fellow board member.

We exchanged names via PM. I called Disney Dining and gave them my confirmation number, I had them adjust the name on that confirmation number to her name. Once it was completed I sent her another PM with the confirmation number, as well as which restaurant and the exact time of the ADR. The name and time was overkill, but I like to be thorough.

It worked like a charm and since my ADR was too big for her group, she invited some other board members to join her at LeCellier for dinner. They had a great evening and I was happy to help out.

A CC hold ADR would be different, I am not sure that those work well at all.
