My coworker friend and her DH are DVC members. Last Nov she & I went to WDW and stayed at BWI on a cash reservation. This year she and her DH can't do their regular Oct DVC trip due to a family wedding. She and I are going back in Nov staying at BWV on their points. She won't take $$$ from me for the points. She says I can pay for a town car from the airport.

What else could I do? Should I offer to pay for daily housekeeping? Could I arrange for this after we get to the resort or does DVC member have to set it up?

I should do something for her DH too since he loves WDW too and we are going on his birthday and leaving him at home.

As a DVC member, I wouldn't want daily housekeeping. Most members don't care for it. We like having the villa to ourselves for most of the week.

Paying for the lime from the airport would be nice. You could also take her out to eat at one of the restaurants that she likes.

And the tequila to go with that lime!

J/K was a funny autocorrect. :) But seriously, generously offering to get the check at dinner, picking up the tab for car service. All sounds fine to me. As for the husband, well you could ask about his beverages of choice. My husband would be happy with a selection of imported Belgian ales or some good red wine. I guess it depends on his tastes (and if he drinks.)

OP, all the previous posters have great ideas.

When I invite someone on my points all I want is for them to have a great time. If you feel it necessary to give something in return, maybe a heartfelt handwritten note would be appreciated. Have Fun!!

Food, everyone loves food, take her out for dinner.

There are many options for you and your travelling friend. You could certainly spring for a nice massage at SSR and as for the stay at home husband you could give him a disney gift card for his birthday that he can use next time he's in Orlando. A Disney gift card is the universal language of love of Disney!

As one who frequently takes guests on my points to Disney, the "tangible thank you's" I most appreciate are little things...one friend routinely finds (where, I don't know) Disney thank-you cards and she & her kids sign one w/notes of love and mail to me--usually one before the trip as well as one afterwards...each of my regular guests also usually gets me a "surprise souvenir"...most often, it's a Christmas ornament from one of the Christmas stores (our favorites are the store at Downtown Disney and the one in MK)...

Pretty much everyone also buys at least one meal as their treat...

Last comment: your friend suggested the town car from the airport to Disney, so probably she'd prefer this as a treat to taking ME...but if were me, I'd consider that a "waste"...I like Magical Express and would rather spend car rental money on something else...

Whatever you do, have a great time!

Other ideas -

Will there be a MVMCP during your visit? If so, you could offer to buy her ticket to that event. Or make & pay for a dessert party at the MK or other special activity or tour that she may not have done so far.

Perhaps when you are there, you could enlist your friend's help in buying her DH a T-shirt / sweatshirt or some other souvenir she thinks he might like.

Have fun!

Before we were DVC members and I would travel to Disney races with my good friend who used her points I would usually either pay for her meal plan if we did that or pick up the cost of a few meals or drinks. The last trip before we joined I think I gave her a Disney gift card for whatever she wanted. She is going to use it towards meals for Marathon weekend this year.

Here is another idea, what about a fireworks cruise or a show like Hoop-De-Do.

I'd give your friend a disney gift card for an amt you think is appropriate. That way she can use it for whatever she wants during her trip :)
What a nice friend... :thumbsup2
