From one southerner to another....you are too cruel!!

I hope our northern DISers are keeping warm.

When I moved from the midwest, I put my snow shovel in the back seat. When I got to the point no one knew what it was, I knew I had gone far enough.

Oh Sure!! Rub it in (teeth chattering now):p

What on earth are GRITS?

Anything with a name like that should not be a breakfast item.

Well, imagine cream of wheat, but thicker... (but not quite oatmeal)

Its well, an acquired taste...

Some cover thier grits in honey, or butter and salt.
Personally if you have to lather it in honey, butter, etc... its not worth it.

(its sort of tasteless)

I like the snow :teeth: and I'll pass on the grits too.

I wish they'd take grits off menus in the south. That's some nasty stuff!

I know some southerners that have snow shovels, but they don't use it to shovel snow.

Roughly ground-up, dried corn.

Hey wait a minute! I love grits! Of course I also love malt o meal, cream of wheat, and oatmeal so maybe it's me, lol.

We are having a problem up here in arctic. There is a shortage of road salt. So, here's my idea.

Maybe you southerners could ship some of your grits up here, and our snowplows could use the grits instead of salt. :teeth:

If you carry jumper cables in you car…….you may live to far north.

If you know what a "snow tire" is... You may live too far north.

If you look out your window and all you see is white... You may live too far north.

If your car has an electric blanket for the motor... You may live too far north.

If anyone has ever asked you"cold enough for yeh"... You may live too far north.

:sunny: Hang in there folks the thaw is only a couple months away:smooth:

Oh and I like my grits with a couple of over easy eggs on top::yes::

I am getting hungry just reading this thread - I like my grits with butter! Yum Yum
