Hi all, as I have previously mentioned, DF and I are planning an elopement of sorts, a surprise wedding when we travel next August. We're travelling with my DD, and DF's Aunt and Uncle and their DS. My question is to those a little more creative than I am. What can you suggest DF and I do to surprise our travel companions with our Wedding plans. We're doing a Land and Sea vacation with our wedding scheduled for Day 2 of the cruise portion. I would love to have a character involved, but not sure how to go about arranging it or even what to do. Any ideas greatly welcomed!!!!

Someone did post on here once about their surprise wedding. They told everyone it was a birthday party and it turned out to be their wedding.

How many people will be on the cruise with you?

I don't really know much about the cruise wedding and how they work but could you tell the other people that you have arranged a dinner/lunch for them all as a treat and to be at a certain place at a certain time. And let them work it out for themselves when they turn up.

Have you spoken to Disney about your plans I'm sure they will be happy to help and suggest some ideas.

The whole wedding day events were a surprise for our wedding party. All they knew was that we were getting married at some point during the holiday. It took some planning but the end result was totally worth it. Seeing everyones faces even DH on our wedding day when Mickey and Minnie arrived was priceless! So much fun..
All our guests knew was what date and time they needed to be ready for. We had a limo pick them up, the location was a secret, then we had a reception at Epcot including the cake cutting ceremony with Mickey and Minnie and they all thought that was it. We then had a sit down meal which was great and then had a dessert party at Epcot. I know that it's a bit more difficult on the cruise ships and I'm not too sure what you can do but I found keeping everything quiet even though it was hard was well worth it in the long run. They all said that the best bit about it was making them feel special and part of the whole day.

HTH

Good luck with your planning and remember a lttle mischievousness didn't hurt anyone lol :wizard:

My wedding is a surprise - also an elopment of sorts! But we plan on letting the secret out before the day of the wedding. We are trying to make out time in Disney as fun as possible and I think it will be too stressful doing any last minute running around the day before while trying to keep the secret.

We are totally using the holiday to our advantage. I plan on putting the "invitations" we have in a small santa sack. We will bring the sack with us the night we arrive when we go to meet our family and friends (most live in FL and we haven't seen them for months). We plan to just tell them we have a little Christmas surprise for them and hand out the invites and take it from there.

Other than inviting your guests to some sort of "dinner party" or something you've planned I can't think of anything esle. But I bet you will come up with a fabulous plan!!
