How to start pin trading for 6 years old.

We have a 6.5 and 2.5 years old going to WDW for the first time in Nov/Dec. We're thinking about letting her do a little pin trading with CMs she bump into (we're not going to actively seek them out - only when we run into them).

What's the best way to start her up pin trading? This is just something fun for her to do. We're thinking about buying a starter kit maybe, and a grab bag from eBay so she has something to trade, and perhaps 2 or 3 special princess pins that she really wants so she can put on her lanyard and claim them as her own (don't think she'll trade those).

As for the 2.5 years old, we may just get her a basic starter kit and leave it at that so she will not fuss that her sister has a lanyard and she doesn't :)

Does this sound like a plan for the 6 years old?

Thanks!

That would probably work great!

2 years ago, I gave my nephew (who was 6 at the time) about 6-8 pins that I picked up at the Disney store... he had an absolute blast! We are heading back in a few days... he still has his lanyard and is ready to trade! It also, much to my DH's chagrin, gave me the pin trading bug, too! :)

** The only thing I would suggest is that you buy some of the 'locking' pin backs for your younger child... that way she won't be able to pull them off and accidentally lose them (or hurt herself)!
