How to start a blog.....???

I wanted to actually start a blog, mostly for me. I want to basically keep a log of the training I am doing along with photos as a way to see progress along the way. What I do with it later on...who knows.

There are many websites that claim I can open a 'free' blog and then want a c.c. to charge a buck.

I don't want to just 'click' on any one of these 'free' blog websites because I don't know who is good and who isn't.

So for anyone that keeps a blog...can you link on any way that would lead me in the right direction?

I'm not sure what sites you're looking at that want to charge a credit card, but Tumblr (tumblr.com), Wordpress (wordpress.com) and Blogger (blogger.com) are all legitimate, easy to use sites and completely free.

Thanks...I went with wordpress and it works fine for me.

I was googling 'how to start a blog for free' and it came up with loads of them. I would just randomly click some of them and they say its free....then you get to the end where they ask for your cc info to charge a dollar. Hmm. That actually scares me more than if they wanted to charge 50 bucks. Who wants to charge a buck for something? Unless its shady.
