Thank you. My family already thinks I'm wacky...I know if I say I need to stop at Home Depot in preparation of my Disney trip they'll call out the guys in white coats. I think I'll make a button....that'll show em'
My DH thinks I'm nuts, too.
Especially after I talked him into stopping by Home Depot. We were driving right by, and he looked at me and said, "YOU want to go to the hardware store???" I said yes, I wanted to get some paint samples. He said there was something he wanted to look for too, so he agreed.
I tried to head over to the paint section as soon as we got in, but he said his stuff would take just a minute, so I followed him to the garden section.

We looked at bricks or whatever those shaped garden-retaining wall things are called. We debated colors, shapes, sizes. There was no one to help us, so finally I found a brochure with a phone number to call, and we could move on already.
So I head to the paint section, and he gets distracted along the way. Fine. (Better, even.) So I find the Mickey paint chips - WOW! In just about every color imaginable! And such cute names, like the red was Mickey Pants. I pick up the brightest green I could find, but that wasn't even the specific official Lime Green color, which was actually of the lighter ones. Anyway, I picked up 3. I didn't have any pockets, so when DH showed up, I asked him to put them in his pocket. "Sure," he says loudly, "But why do you need three of the same color?" (I shushed him, and told him I'd explain later.) "
And what on earth are you going to paint this god-awful color?!" That earned him another shush and The Look. He pocketed the paint chips and went to stand in line.
Well, the line was taking forever, so I said, "Ummm, I'll be right back." I snuck back to the paint chips, and grabbed samples (in twos or threes) of other colors, then again for the prized lime green ones, this time filching about 5! Then I heard in my ear, "I thought I would find you back here." I jumped, then realized it was just DH again.
Blast him, he scared the bejeebies out of me! This time he just took my little pile of chips and chuckled.
I eventually did have to explain why I took all the paint chips, which to him was just more proof of how nuts I've become. But DS6 thought they were cool!
I know technically it isn't stealing when they give them away for free, but holy cow, I felt like such a rebel!
