how to sign up for code emails

What do I have to do to get on the list for discount codes? Want to plan a trip and need cheap rates!

There is no way to guarantee an e-mail/postcard from WDW w/ discount codes listed. I do suggest you go to WDW official website and sign up for mailings of what's new. This may get your name into the database.

Our last code came right after we got back from WDW this year. We are using it Halloween weekend. It was a better deal than the AP rates. You never know when they will send one.

I got a postcard mailed to me recently and wasn't I furious to find out that Disney had screwed up and sent it to MY address but with my brother's name.

My brother has not been a guest in a WDW room since he was 16 years old and has not lived with me for 10 years. I spoke to several CMs , including a supervisor and all told me they could not let me use the code. I asked if I could then mail the card to my brother at HIS house and if he could use it, and they said no to that as well.



My ONE postcard I'll probably get all year and it was ruinded because of Disney's screw up.

My mail card went to my friend's address with my name it!!! I had no problem using it - of course it was my name..although sometimes I get one with my first name, which I never use (I only use my middle name) and I've not had a problem..ALSO (this is ridiculous!!) I received an email code with half of my last name (I have a double last name and they dropped the one I use if I use only one...again, had no trouble booking the reservation.

What if you add your brother as the second adult on the reservation and say nothing? I know a name comes up with the pin...hope something works! You can always change the 2nd adult name later and it will not matter then. Wait - your brother should be able to use it - people move!!

As for the email - I was registered on disneyworld.com for a few yrs and received nothing -then during the summer I happened to check my registration and noticed the box to check - I did and within a month I received the email pin #. It was during the time of other discounts but the pin was the best and so far all my pins have been better than ap and equal or better than FL resident rate.

When we picked up our copy of "Finding Nemo", DH filled out one of those little cards which are always on the counter at The Disney Store. I didn't think anything of it, until a postcard came...to my four-year old granddaughter! He had used her name and address, and it's the ONLY thing that Disney ever had with that information on it. The funny part was, it was delivered to our mailbox by mistake (we live next door), on the day after we got an email code! Now we're all going to WDW in December!

They told me my brother would have to be the one who checked in, and he'd have to show proof that he once lived at my address (he never did) if we both went.

My brother is not a big fan of WDW and so he wouldn't go anyway.

I hope that I get another postcard with my name on it.

Gosh, I don't get it...I will be checking in, but the mail card went to FLORIDA and I live in BOSTON!!

Is this another one of those times when maybe what the CM's told you is not an absolute? After all, why would Disney want to lose your business?

I'll be interested in what others think...this would drive me nuts and I feel trrrible for you!!

p.s I do not have to show any proof of ever living at the FL address - I never did since it is my friend's address. The name must be the stickler here..I feel so bad...

I don't know. I was told this by 3 Cms and a CM supervisor.
