I'm sure that many of you have been in my predicament: I've over shopped for the room in my suitcases. Is there somewhere on or near property where I can ship stuff home? I'm hoping to ship my own personal stuff (on which I won't pay duty), and take my purchases with me, which will qualify for my personal exemption when I re-enter the country. TIA

Talked to the front desk. Because I'm close to the Canada/US border, I'm going to use a parcel service in the US, then pick up my package. It sounds like it should work. Fingers are crossed that it will.

Or just consider buying another bag and paying the extra bag fee. Your time and effort to get back down to pick it up, plus shipping fees may be a wash. We've bought a couple of duffels down there ($20-$30, but reusable) and paid the extra bag fee for the return leg ($30-50 usually). We got smart the second time, bought a collapsible duffel that fits in its own pouch. We stick it in our main bag on the way down and then fill it up with the extras for the return trip. Of course we LOVE outlet shopping down there.

This time we are driving, so I am dreading to see how much stuff we buy to fit the space (I drive a large SUV) :worried:

I would do this. Way less trouble. There's usually some totes in the hotel gift shop.

We are heading down this week. We have never left Disney property during our previous trips but this time we are planning a day to go offsite shopping. DD14 is excited about this! Where do you go when you go outlet shopping??

For those staying on site, the best outlet mall nearby is Premium Outlets on Vineland Avenue. It is roughly across the I-4 from DTD, maybe 15-20 minutes drive/cab ride from the resorts, depending on traffic. http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/outlet.asp?id=17 With 160 stores, it can be pretty much a full day of shopping. There is also a smaller outlet mall called Lake Buena Vista Factory Outlets on SR535 that is fairly close by, but we always have better luck at Premium Outlets.

I agree, it may be just the same price to bring a collapsable duffel & pay the $30 for extra luggage. Any parcel service at WDW uses UPS I believe. Pretty expensive. There is a regular post office outside of DTD off Palm Pkwy in a strip mall if you have a car. But I don't think any small savings you can eek out really justifies the time & effort of shipping.
