Ok I'm going to sound like an idiot here but that's nothing new. :lmao:

I want to bring in lamb's ear and mint to share with my co-workers. Do I bring it in in the dirt, like sod?

I was thinking of putting it in brown paper lunch bags because it seems like plastic bags would get too hot.. Can you tell I have no idea what I'm doing? :rotfl:

I would just pull the plants out of the soil, shake the excess from the roots, and wrap the roots in wet paper towels, and then put the whole plant in a plastic bag. As long as it'll only be a few hours, it should be fine. I wouldn't leave it in a hot car all day, though, because that would fry the plant.

You really could do it either way. If you dig them up and take them in dirt and all, I would place them in some sort of pot. This will limit the stress to the plant and they won't dry out as fast (a plastic bag would work for this too). When you dig them up and take the dirt off of them, you need to wrap the roots in damp paper towel and then place them in a plastic bag. I agree, don't leave them in your car. They will cook!

:thumbsup2 You could use paper or plastic cups instead of a pot, too.

Oohh plastic cups, good idea. That will minimize the mess. I'm not a gardener but we're redoing a flower bed and several of my co-workers were interested in these. Thanks!
