Hello,

We booked our February stay through Hotels.com because we saved around 41% off our Beach Club stay, but now I'm having problems setting up ME.

I only have a Hotels.com ressie number which won't work in the Disney system. When I called Hotels.com, they said they only have their own ressie #, they don't have a Disney one.

Does anyone know how to set this up? We booked through Hotels.com back on Nov. 10th.

Maybe try calling the BC? Give them the hotels.com #, make sure they have the reservation and see if they have a Disney reservation number to give you.

Just a thought.

Better yet, call Magical Express directly, they'll help you out.
1-866-599-0951.

unfortunately the Beach Club doesn't get the ressie until 10 days before, (called them).

ME couldn't help either without the Disney booking number, they couldn't find us in the system.

I hope I don't have to wait until 10 days before, really don't want to schelp my luggage onto the ME bus.

Call the BC at the 10 day mark (or maybe the 9 day). Get the Disney reservation number. Call ME and give them that number to reserve the transportation.

No, you won't get the yellow tags for your luggage, but you can give your claim tickets (and maybe a description of the bags... not sure) to ME at the check in desk and they'll transport your bags. You won't need to get them.

Another option (although one with a slim chance of success)... will BC match the hotels.com offer? Can you directly book then cancel hotels.com?

Hotels.com is cancellable up to 5 days before trip. I've never tried to get Disney to match a deal. :)

I guess as long as I can get on the bus, I can deal with the luggage, it's just me and my husband, so just 2 suitcases. ;)

have read that you can do that, but I'm such a control freak, not sure I can be that trusting. :rotfl:

To tell you how to find it: go to the Beach Club page on hotels.com and scroll down down down down. The info is under "Check-in information".

To tell you what to do: "Guests must pre-book Disney's Magical Express, a complimentary transfer from the Orlando airport to the hotel. Visit www.disneysmagicalexpress.com/USA for registration."

That website worked just fine using my hotels.com confirmation number; they didn't need the Disney number at all, and I received two emails, one saying that my form went through, the other saying that my reservation was set up.

Lastly: the info was also in my email confirmation, also down down down in it, under "Additional hotel information

Checking in:"

Just so you know, you can get your Disney confirmation from hotels.com. I called and got mine a few days after I booked. I had to be a bit persistent and describe what I was looking for (ie: a 12 digit number beginning with a 4), but they did find it and give it to me.

you know I tried that and the lady from Hotels.com insisted that it didn't exist. I wanted to say but people on the Disboards say it does! :rotfl:

thanks Bumpershoot! I have seen that on the Disney site, but the woman from ME told me that I needed the Disney ressie # in order for it to work?

Seems like no one at those sites knows what the deal is. I think my friends on here know more! :thumbsup2

I just went straight to the site they gave. And it worked, even though my reservation starts with something like 1110 instead of 4etc.

"Greetings!

Your Disney's Magical Express departure reservation is confirmed!"....

Glad you saw it on the site, though! It's a pretty common question I've seen. I use hotels.com for DH's work travel ALL the time, so I know their tricks (scroll down, way down, to see resort fees etc), LOL.
