Tomorrow I will be sending a cashiers check to Timeshare Store for our payment on a re-sale...I'm thinking I'd be best to send it Fed Ex - Next Day Air. What have the rest of you done?

I did 2nd day. Took it in on a Wed, and it was guaranteed to be there by EOD Friday. I think it cost me a total of $15 (roughly) from Columbus, OH to Orlando, FL. This included online tracking and proof of delivery. Personally, I saw no need to overnight it. The cost was more than double, and it getting there a day earlier didn't change a thing. :thumbsup2

Priority mail with delivery confirmation. It gets it there in 2-3 days for approx $6 dollars and is trackable.

With our first resale through TSS, I sent the check with a return receipt. I got the receipt 3-4 days after I had gotten the e-mail from TSS that our contract had closed.

This time, I spent $1.08 and sent the documents and check first class mail with no guarantee or express shipping. I sent it last Wed (5/25) and got the e-mail yesterday that our resale closed.

That's what I have done as well. I don't think overnight is necessary because they have to wait on the seller documents as well.

Thanks everyone, I think I'll go with Priority mail w/tracking and delivery confirmation.

Wow, I just sent my stuff regular old snail mail. Sent out on a Tues and got confir on Friday that everything was rec'd and in escrow. Guess I was lucky!

I too used good old fashion US mail.... had no problems, took 3 days I think. Of course somewhere in the middle of those three days I did think "EEK! What if it the envelope gets lost?"

Sent all documents snail mail, bought 2 resale, and sold one. They received all 3 on 3rd day after mailing.

I did go with Priority Mail (just feels more secure to me), and e-mailed my Timeshare corrospondent that I had mailed it, she responded immediately that she would let me know when she received it. Excellent service so far with Timeshare Store, at this point I would not hesitate to recommend them, or to use them again myself.

I guess I'm unique. I got my closing papers just before a scheduled trip to WDW. So I just dropped them off at the office.

Just wanted to say congratulations to you for closing on your DVC. I am sorry I don't remember a thing about how I closed with TSS. I know they were and have been very good to me through the years.

Thanks. I have also been very happy with TSS, so far everything has been speedy and smooth.

I think i was just a bit nervous the first time and over nighted. On our last contract with Fidelity it was sent regular snail mail and we recieved an email that they recieved it in 3 days.

Although I could track my Priority Mail, I really appreciated the fact that TSS e-mailed me when they received the payment.

We sent our deposit FedEx Saturday delivery because we were working against a deadline (3/21 rule). It was $48 :scared1:

We sent our final payment via priority mail with signature required and it was around $6. It also got there just as fast as FedEx (mailed on a Saturday received on a Monday).

I'd recommend USPS with some time of delivery confirmation or signature required. It's almost as fast as FedEx 2-day, if not as fast, and saves you 80%.
