Does anyone have any suggestions do we save more by buying our Disney park tickets in advance or at the gates.

Where and how soon should I buy them in order to save? We are planning on going to Disney for the last week of Dec - Jan. 7/2009.

Thank you in advance for any ideas.

I collect Airmiles on my Mastercard and redeem my airmiles for Disney passes. I usually have enough airmiles reward points to get 2 or 3 "free" passes. For our family of 4, that is a lot of savings.

Go to www.mousesavers.com and sign up for their newsletter which is emailed on the 15th of every month. Has lots of deals on hotels etc. There's also a link in the newsletter for Undercovertourist and you'll get a few dollars more off your tickets than you will if you just go to www.undercovertourist.com for them. Signing up for the newsletter is free. We got tickets from them and they had free shipping to Canada or US. They arrived 12 days after I ordered them. You can also have them sent quicker but you have to pay.
Undercovertourist has a very good reputation. Saved about $50 on 3 adult and one child 6 day base ticket than what I could get them at the Disney online site. Gate prices are higher than Disney online.

We used Undercover Tourist through Mousesavers for our trip at Christmas and got a good deal on our tickets. They arrived on the Monday when I ordered them on the Friday, but since I was late ordering them we paid the extra. We also could have picked them up in Orlando. since ticket prices usually go up every year, you might want to consider buying them early. They don't expire until you use them the first time.

I plan to purchase mine from the local Disney Store. They are selling them at par right now plus Florida state tax (no GST/PST on them of course). When our dollar is lower, it's a better deal. However, now that we are sitting at par, or even a little higher, it's not so much a better deal! We do not need our tickets for another 6 months, and who knows what the exchange rate will be then?

Yes, I am lucky as the Sq 1 Disney Store is 15 minutes away. I called the store to inquire about the tickets and they currently have them in stock. They recommend you do not purchase them too close to the date of departure as they may not have any in stock and would need a few days to order them in. There is also a Disney Store at the Toronto Eaton Centre I believe.

Cool MJ !! A disser from Waterloo. ha ha

I don't have time to do any daytrips right now but as soon as I can I will check out the disneystore. Lets hope our dollar is still good by then. Guess I can't order them by phone and pay CC?

Thanks MJ and Shopgirl.

Since we try to get to Florida every year or two, I bought 10 day hoppers with 6 pluses that don't expire from Undercover thru Mousesavers.

We have 3 or 4 pluses from other tickets too.

All that will last us about 3 or 4 trips....about 10 years.

That's how I save on tickets.

I just asked DH this morning if we should look at 10-day park hoppers with no expiration as a just in case. We aren't sure when or how we will purchase but we are going to do it. The chance to be there for DD's birthday is coming up in 2009 (her birthday is always right around the start of school so I won't take her out). We are thinking of a quickie trip to spend her day at MK.

And I am in Cambridge - there is also a Disney Store in Limeridge Mall in Hamilton if you find yourself in that direction. I can be there in 30-45 minutes! :goodvibes

I just read that you can only buy 7 day park tickets at the disney store? Looks like Im outta luck b/c I always buy 10 park tickets.

CAA also only carries 7 days I believe.
