I knew you guys would get a kick out of that picture ! BTW Grumpy still insists that it was "taken at a weird angle". Puh-lease. Next she'll tell me I photoshopped the darn thing! To her defense I don't think it was intentional - she tends to forget that there are people in those suits. That poor dude probably asked to be Buzz Lightyear after that.
ANYWAY... After The Pluto Molester was done, I sent her off to the pool and did some last-minute packing. The fateful time came faster than we wanted (as usual) and we found ourselves back on the ME bus on our way to the airport.
We had just reached the American Airlines counter, and I had handed our passports, when we heard a weird BEEEP. And everything went dark.
"WHAT DID YOU DO???" she yelled at me.
That's right. According to my mother, I, by my own (not-so)little self, have the power to turn off the electricity
in the entire Orlando International Airport.
She must have thought I pulled on a switch or something. Big switch, must have been.
People started freaking out pretty fast. Grumpy & I shrugged, sat on the floor, and waited. Hey, worst thing, we would get to spend another night in Orlando.
Hopefully next to a mall, or a 24-hour
Walmart.
I have to admit I was grossed out at some point when I realized that no power meant no flushing toilets - NOT a pretty sight, guys. Kinda missed the A/C, too.
No flights were landing and of course none were taking off. We had 3 hours to transfer in Miami so I wasn't too worried. Besides, they have Wals (Greens AND Marts) - in Miami, too.
Unfortunately it lasted less than an hour, and we made our flights. Both of them.
They stuck us in COACH with all those lesser people (the nerves!).
And that, my friends, is the end of our Very Last Trip to Disney.....
