How to RSVP for moonlight magic

It says to RSVP online for the events, but how? Anyone done it who can explain? I'm going to be arriving on May 16th and would love to be able to do the AK one - my favorite park!!

How to Book
Book online when your reservation window opens. An event reservation is required to attend this event.

Members with Disney Resort hotel reservations during the event can book online beginning Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 9:00 AM Eastern Time. Disney Resort hotel reservations must be booked prior to Wednesday, February 7, 2018 in order to be eligible for the initial event registration period. Resort reservations must remain active; cancellation of the Resort hotel reservation will result in a cancellation of the event registration.

Event reservations open to all Members on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 9:00 AM Eastern Time. If the event reaches capacity during the initial registration period, a limited supply will be released once registration opens to all Members.

In order to allow as many Members as possible to enjoy Moonlight Magic, only one event date for each participating park will be available per Membership.

Important Information

• Reservations are required and limited. Unfortunately, walk–ins will not be permitted.
• Valid Disney Vacation Club Membership Card and photo ID required at check–in. Member listed on the Membership Card must be in attendance.
• Complimentary admission to the after-hours event at Disney's Animal Kingdom park is valid for the duration of the event. If you wish to enter Disney's Animal Kingdom park before the event, valid theme park admission is required and is sold separately.
• Offer is complimentary, non-transferable and cannot be sold.
• Party size limited to the Member plus 5 Guests per Membership—or limited to the total number of Guests listed on their Disney Resort hotel reservation(s).
• Offer is non-transferable, subject to availability, change or termination without notice.
• Attendees under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian.
• This is a rain–or–shine event; some experiences may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
• We request that Members cancel at least 48 hours in advance.
• Event may be canceled at the discretion of Disney Vacation Club due to inclement weather and Members will be notified via resort communication.
• FastPass+ selections may only be reserved using valid theme park admission linked to a My Disney Experience account. Theme park admission must be used at the Main Entrance touchpoints for FastPass+ selections to be valid.

I will also be there for the May 16 event, but unless I'm missing it, I don't see the site to use when you book online? Is it the DVC website and do you need your reservation number when you book? I'm thinking that with the popularity of Pandora, this event could book up rather quickly. Thanks

Yeah, that's what I was asking. I read the stuff the pp posted already ... but it just says reserve online ... it doesn't say how to.
So I did some poking around. If you go to the dvc site and log in and click the left pull down menu, you can click on "plan vacations" and then "event calendar". Then go to the date and click on the event. When the time comes, the "book online" will be in blue and you can click it and it will bring you to the reservation page. I know because I trie a moonlight magic event that the window was already open for to see what would happen.
They don't make it easy!!

We received an email with the link on the morning that booking started for the current MK event. You had to register by using that link. By later in the day the link was added to the dvc website. It was very stressful because not all got their emails right away. I didn’t get my email until an hour after booking started and the site was jammed and impossible to get in. It took me several hours to register.

For MK Moonlight Magic I didn't get the email with the link. I had a DVC reservation for Feb. 6 but didn't get the link. I finally got it because it was posted by people on the DIS. Otherwise I'd have never been able to book. It was kind of a pain because I kept getting error messages. After an hour and a half I finally got my reservation.

Thanks for posting. That's the best, easiest explanation I've seen.

You're right, they don't make it easy. Why does everything have to be a competition? I'll never understand why you can't RSVP when you book your rooms.

We never get the e-mail link until everything is gone. Sheesh!
