from the ceiling? Is attached to the ceiling with the white sticky putty like stuff. I have pulled a couple down, along with pieces of the drywall paper.
Does anyone have a better method? I bet there are 30 of them up there and
dont really look forward to having to spackle and repaint. thanks

How have you tried to get them down?

I don't think there's a fool-proof method. I'd try a heat gun, or a blow dryer if you don't have the heat gun. Then I'd try soaking the sticker with water or by using a steamer on it.

But, the bottom line is that you'll probably have to spackle and repaint when you're finished.

I've never dealt with ceiling stars, but I've dealt with a house full of wallpaper that is now just painted. Some of it came down easily and some came down with lots of spackling needed.

Like suggested try heat & if that doesnt work well, try using some thin wire. Use it like dentall floss between the ceiling & the star. Maybe fishing line would work, but I think wire would be best.
