DD bought a large white patent leather Coach purse and wore dark jeans. Well, unfortunately, the blue dye from the jeans rubbed onto the purse so now she has a couple blue spots on her purse. I tried leather cleaner but it didn’t help. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Call the Coach store where you bought it or contact them via their website. They may be able to give suggestions based on the material.

I called and was told there's nothing you can do to remove the stain, although sometimes it will fade over time. Great news, huh? I will try the recommendations others made.

That's why I stopped buying white purses a few years ago--too many wardrobe casualties as a result of wearing them with anything dark colored!

Magic Eraser! It got permanent marker off a leather couch when my niece got a hold of a marker and started coloring with it.

Yeah jeans and white/cream leather are a deadly mix sometimes. Magic Eraser does help a little, but it also is bad for the leather.

I am sorry I don't have a solution, but I went into Coach last week to buy a white bag. The sales lady talked me out of it because she said it would stain if I carried it with jeans.
It was late, so I didn't even get a bag.:sad2:

I accidentally dyed my son's white baseball uni blue due to a dark pair of jean shorts hiding in my washing machine. I had to be careful because its a MLB replica and has very intricate sewn on logo's. I scoured the Internet for home remedies and found borax over and over. It did the trick in a paste like form, so you might give it a shot! Good luck!
