How to re-use a magicband?

Hi, i went into my disney experience to the magic band section and it shows our previous magic bands, which we had two sets for our last trip b/c of a split stay plus another from 2011. We have another split stay coming up and i would rather just re use one our old set.. how do i do this? I can see it says to select the magic band and it shows active, then you can click to deactivate. Should i just leave it all the way it is, or deactivate the ones i will not use? Then when i click on my new reservation magic band button it says 'ready to customize' or 'decline magicband.' Do i click decline?

Yes, all your linked MBs would work. You could decline new ones. If the battery has gone dead in an old band, the only relevant feature that won't work is Memory Maker ride photos. Room keys, tickets, FP+, etc will work passively without the battery.

If your old ones are from 2011, the battery is dead in them (they last maybe 2 years but my experience is 1 year). Just get 1 set of the new bands and there is nothing special to do for them to work.

I personally deactivate my old ones, it makes be feel better. As PP mentioned, tehcnically most of the features will work, it's going to be the ride photos where it's a problem.

we have our oldest set from 2011 but our newest set is october 2014 so those should be fine. i clicked the decline magicbands button. thanks!

we had them in the test phase. it was awesome! we got to use the paper ones which were still in use, as well as the FP+.

I didn't know you can reuse them!! We have like 3 sets now! Instead of wasting them, I wish I would've known.
