Nephew is proposing to girlfried at Disney he would like some help, it will just be the 2 of them and he would like the castle (maybe in the background) photoghaper to take a picture at the exact moment but how does he let the cm know without raising suspicion...any other great ideas..?? trip is May 9-12..

I think the most romantic spot is at the wishing well by the castle. It's never too crowded.

The wishing well is a VERY romantic spot! My husband proposed to me at midnight on New Year's Eve right when the fireworks went off and thousands of people were screaming. Very dramatic, to say the least. But that's just the kind of guy he is.........

People all around were happy to see some guy down on his knee by the wishing well. I think he gave a magical memory to many that night, but mostly to me!::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

at the castle? can you get a good picture of the entire castle from the wishing well...?

Hi,
As you can see from the photo below, I was totally surprised by my boyfriend when he proprosed to me last July 9th!!We were at MK celebrating our 40th birthdays and had just eaten breakfast at Chef Mickeys.. I should have suspected something when he did not go back for seconds!!! And when he thought the monorail was going the wrong way:earseek: !!! When we got into the park he wanted to get our picture taken (as we had in every park) but would not stop for a photo until the end of Main Street. I was just a little aggrevated but after the photographer had taken the first picture,he asked her to wait, dropped down on one knee and pullled the ring out of his pocket!!! I was so shocked I could hardly breathe. The photographer got the perfect picture!! We go back in July for the honeymoon!!
Best of Luck!!

This may be dumb...............but here goes....

My favorite ride is Splash Mountain, so I always thought it would have been cool to get proposed to when you get to the drop at the end................you know pull the ring out and ask her to marry you and then the camera from the ride would get her reaction, but there are a few drawbacks to this idea
1. You could loose the ring.
2. She may not hear you or pay attention to you as there is a really big drop coming up and you're going to get wet from the water

Anyway, does she have a favorite ride???

I dont necessarily have an idea by the castle or on a ride, but my boyfriend proposed to me by engraving our names on a glass slipper and Will you marry me on a glass sheet the slipper sits on!

so we are figuring out how to get it engraved in time.....from dd

I know that he got it engraved at Crystal Arts in Magic Kingdom. The engraving takes a fairly short period of time. Maybe ten minutes if there isn't a wait. Put the order in, walk around main street for a while until it is done, and then pick it up later. I know that I was in the store the same time he was picking it up, but in a different part...I had no clue.

There is a service that will help you do this sort of thing, they can be in place to take photos, make arrangements for all sorts of special things... I wish I could remember the name..

I think this is the place...

Cinderella Castle is always a true classic. I did hear about (what I think is this company) and doing some sort of treasure hunt sort of thing. Kind of hokey, but sounded like a ton of fun!
Congrats in advance!!!

Of course MK is wonderful place to get propsed to, but maybe another place that isn't totally stereo typical. Maybe she will expect it. I would try either Epcot during the firework show, or maybe at MGM Studios...I think it all depends on how your gf is, and her personality.

I proposed to my wife, with the help of two cast members, in Cinderellas Rose Garden right when the MK fireworks were about to start. I called Disney guest realtions and asked if they could help me set up a proposal in Disney. They transferred me to the department that handles this. They sent me a list of scenerios that I could choose from ranging from only about $100 to well into the thousands. What I choose was to get priority seating in the Rose Garden for the fireworks, only the two of us. They roped off the Garden and handed me an invitation at Cinderellas Royal Table (the priority seating at the Royal Table was done by me to try and add to the mood, but wasn't part of the package) what they included was: 1 six inch glass crystal slipper, chocolate truffles, sparkling apple cider, 2 cast members to take pictures, Mickey/Minnie bride and groom hats with ears and a crowd of thousands that cheered our engagement. I will never forget that day. This was in 1999 and I assume some things have changed but call them and they will work with any buget. It is the best place to remember such a special day between two people in love.

Sorry to say, WDW no longer has an engagement departmentt o arrange these things. Personally, I think any place in WDW is beautiful and photogenic, it is all about the romance and element of surprise! Any of the ideas listed would be beautiful.

You're right about the engagement department being gone, as my fiance learned the hard way. I don't know who he was talking to in guest relations, but he was trying really hard to get some help on the proposal. I think the lady felt bad she couldn't be of more service and managed to put us on the VIP list for the special Spectromagic viewing area on the bridge to Liberty Square.

Last October my fiance proposed to me a Disney World. When booking the vacation we selected the Romance package for an add-on. I wanted it more so than he did because of my love for horses and this included a horse drawn carriage ride.

It was on the horse drawn carriage ride that my honey proposed to me.....I absolutely loved it!

I proposed to my fiance in front of cinderellas castle. I basically told her when we came in and were walking down main street "Hey lets get our picture taken". She was kind of against it because of the cost but i convinced her by telling her it was ok and it would probably be the only picture we would get together since we were by ourselves. She agreed and when the photographer told us where to stand and he backed up I pulled the ring out of my camera case and got on my knee and proposed. She was completely surprised. I would attach a copy of the picture that the photographer took but I'm not sure how to do that exactly. He took quite a few so we were able to choose which one we wanted. Also everyone cheered when I proposed and she said yes. Gave you a really good feeling.
