How to post pics?

Can anyone tell me how to post pics in a thread? Do they have to be available online or can I upload them from my harddrive?

You must upload your picture to a hosting site (photobucket.com is one).

When you are in the text box to type, you will see right above where you type A, B,I U and you will also see a what looks like a postcard with mountains (yellowish), just click that to add a picture. You will have to put your URL in the box that will pop up.

I just tried following the guidelines but I´m obviously doing something wrong. The pics don´t appear in the post, only the links.
