How to plan a one day trip?

I'll be traveling to Arizona for work in early June. I'd be able to take a Friday evening flight to LAX, spend Saturday at Disneyland, and fly home on Sunday. I haven't been to DL in 10 years, so I'm not sure if that's a good idea.

Thoughts? Any suggestions for a trip that short?

I would make a list of your must-dos and make a plan around that! I think knowing that you won't be able to accomplish everything is key. But if you go in with a plan and utilize the FP system, you should be able to have a fun day :)

prioritize your rides.. know where they are in relation to each other and use single rider lane if they have it.. F/P and get there are rope drop..

Touringplans.com has a few one-day touring plans that are geared toward adults. These are the guys who write The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland, and you can probably pick up a copy at your library and photocopy the plans out of the back of the book (it has a lot of good general information and tips, too). The website has a customizable planner, along with the smartphone app that goes with it, and it costs like $8 for a year's subscription.

Download the free DLR app. It will help with ride waits, FP availability, menus and prices, character locations, and even PhotoPass. Also, use Single Rider when possible. Going solo will give you lots of flexibility. Even finding a spot to see PTN and fireworks will be easier.
