Hi everyone, I need a little instruction. DH and I are joining my parents for a weekend in the World this February. We have some pretty exciting news to share with them :yay: and I'd really like to tell them with a cake after dinner...a "surprise/congratulations" cake instead of a birthday cake, if you will. DH and I haven't decided which restaurant we'd like to break the news in, but we'll figure it out this week...and then what's my next step? Is there a Disney Bakery line to call or do I get in contact with the restaurant where we have ADRs and place my order with them?
TIA!

Hi,

You will have to make arrangements directly with the restaurant the day before your dinner. Something you might want to do for something Very Special is arrange for a specialty cake with the bakery at the Concourse Steakhouse so you can decide what type of cake, words, filling, etc.
They can make delivery arrangements or you can always pick it up.

Premade cakes from room service/restaurants are premade and not so terrific...Just an idea!
Enjoy your time!!!!pixiedust:

Funny you posted this. I just got off the phone with Disney Dinning Reservations to ask the same thing. It depends on the resturant you eat at. When you call Disney Dinning, ask them about a cake and they will ask you what location and they will give you a number to call.

We are celebrting DD b-day in Feb and I wanted a cake for her at Cinderella's Royal Table and they gave me a specific number to call to order it. You just need to order it 48 hours in advance.

Just call WDW Dinning and they will be happy to assist. Congratulations on your "good" news!!:)

Yes, there is a Disney Bakery where you get more of a say in the type of cake you want rather than the more generic ones the restaurant would have on hand.

The phone number is 407-824-7091.

Congratulations!!

Eat dinner at the Grand Floridian Cafe, order a cake through the GF bakery. It's a great spot to eat and the cakes are out of this world!!!! It would make a terrific place to break some very exciting news...if it's what we all think it is...congratulations!!!!
