How to make this easier on my mom?

Mom is coming here this year. This is her first year not hosting Christmas at her house. My Aunt told me that she ( my mom) was apprehensive about it. Just that its a change in her life kind of thing, I guess a sign that she is getting older

I want her to be involved with it but at the same time I want her to relax. Most of all I dont want her to have her feelings hurt KWIM?

Any ideas how I can make this easier on her?

Maybe ask her to make one of her "special" dishes? Bless your for being so sensitive.

If she offers to help with something, accept her offer graciously..

If she doesn't offer, ask her to help you with something.. When "mom's" get older it's important to them to know that their help is still needed..
