How to make coffee in the room

I made a pot this morning using only room supplies, and it came out not too bad. Here's what I did:
-Fill the Mr. Coffee to the 6 line before you go to bed so the Florida tap water has a chance to mellow overnight.
-Put in 1 50th Anniversary Blend pod and push the brew now button
-Come back 15 minutes later and then plug in the pot, then push the brew now button again
-After brew cycle done, sip and enjoy.

IMO it is pretty good if you do this.

The irony is that you really need some coffee before undertaking a task as daunting as making a pot of coffee.

We need to sticky this thread. Also, if you can swing it, using bottled water will blow your mind.

My routine is to fill the coffee maker to the 10 line and put the dry in the machine before I go to bed. I leave it plugged in. When I wake up, I hit the button and then head for the bathroom.

By the time I am done in the bathroom, DW is generally sipping her first cup and it's (relatively) safe to leave the bathroom and say good morning without her hitting me.

Correct. If you skip that step it may not come out as well.
