How to make an easy tutu and hair bows~updated!

I LOVE the korker bows. Thought I would add how I bake them. I don't get them wet - but I spray them with a stiffening spray before baking. I found that the curl stays much tighter. :)

What type of stiffening spray do you use?

picked out some cute ribbon and came up with these:

I took the picture before I realised the sides were uneven on the bottom one, so I trimmed it and looks great now. My girls love them!

I like that ribbon. Very nice!

After you make the center knot, how do you attach the alligator clip to the bow? Do you attempt to stick it thought the knot? If "knot";), will the center knot cause it to be difficult to secure the clip?

Thanks in advance! I'm not crafty at all, but i'd like to give this a try!

subbing!
Just want to look at them and think Oh WOW, I should do that! But then I would have to get off of here and stop looking at all of your pretty and perfect bows! :woohoo:You overachievers!!!;)

Whatever you do, don't get hooked on making bows! DON'T DO IT! My spools of ribbon now cover the dining room table which is good that the table is now being used for something! :rotfl:
Oh, and the postage to send the completed bows to my DGD in MS is eating me up!:rotfl2:
But they are so pretty!:cutie: I don't have any pictures because I was so excited about sending them that I boxed them up before I took any!

Seriously, it isn't hard once you get the knack . First set is the hardest - after that it is a snap! It is actually fun:)

Ha! that's me! I've just been admiring for the last few days...I'm hoping tomorrow to actually go out to buy the ribbons and all!

Where in MS is your DGD? I'm just outside of Jackson!:) You could just mail those bows to me and I'll make sure she gets them!:rolleyes1

Jut wanted to post my latest. What do you think? Minnie's bow isn't that great, but I just wanted to get it done before DD went to bed - its for her to wear. I am going to make them with red and white polka dot ribbon for minnie's bow anyway. This one was just a test run.

That is too freaking cute!

I love all the ideas in this thread. It might just motivate me to get crafty. My 3 year old will be going for the first time in June and she really needs some bows like this. Thank you so much for sharing how to make them.

That is really cute! Now you have to share how you made it. :rolleyes1

...and $400 later it has turned into an obsession. I have sold $150 worth, so I'm still out $250, but have about 50 bows to show for it. So far. Here are some of my Disney themed ones...

The last ones I made were the Lilo and Stitch, which my little girl is proudly wearing and running around the house with right now! She fell in love with Stitch after meeting him in Tomorrowland. Now he's her favorite---prior to that we'd never even seen the movie. She loves the princesses, but really adores Lightning McQueen (I won't post that one--looks too dorky) and Stitch.

WOW, Cibahwewah, those are amazing! You certainly have a talent! Those would be cute as pins too! :thumbsup2
