How to make ADRs from the UK?

I'm sure this has been posted before but I can't find it. Can someone please let me know how I'd make ADRs from the UK? I'm going in January, is it too early to make them?

ADRs can be made 180 days ahead of the date you want to dine. If you're staying onsite, you can make 10 days of reservations 180 days ahead of the day you check-in. So, for example, if you were staying offsite between 1 March and 15 March next year, you could make ADRs for 1st March on 2nd September this year, ADRs for 2nd March on 3rd September, and so on. If you were staying onsite, you could make ADRs for 1st - 10th March on 2nd September. Not quite sure why it's limited to 10 days and not to the length of your stay.

To make them, call 407 WDW DINE. From the UK, the full number to dial is 001 407 939 3463. Don't forget the time difference - the lines open at 7am EST, so you can call anytime from midday onwards.

We made ADRs around 5 weeks before our trip (got back yesterday). We got every one we wanted (at the time we wanted them) . Considering this is a busy time of year (and January is quiet) I don't think there's too much necessity to book them now. Just to put things in perspective - we booked several meal while we were there with a couple of days notice and changed a couple of bookings on the day of eating - eating later is usually easier to arrange. However, if there's somewhere you've set your heart on - particularly if it's a character meal in one of the parks, you may want to do it now for peace of mind. The busiest places - which were turning people away on the night were Crystal Palace, Cape May and Boma.

I called the number twice from the UK and found the best time was late afternoon UK time. Don't even try at midday UK as people hit the telephone lines as soon as they open in the US to try and get the Cinderella meals.

I phoned a couple of times to do my Christmas and New Year ones. As I was concerned about getting what I wanted for Christmas Day and NYE I called bang on 180 days before and got exactly what and when I wanted for both (le Cellier & Crystal Palace). Each time I called at around 2pm and had no problems getting through. Hope you get the ones you want

nibby is absolutely right. We've been a couple of times in January and, unless you're keen to book in advance, or you have some 'hard to get, must-dos', you won't have a problem.

I think if you know what you want, I would book asap, after all at least you know its sorted then, but I am a fanatical organiser!

You make them by calling Disney on 001 407 WDW DINE they are open from 12 noon UK time.
