How to make $3600 on your disney vacation! WE DID!! NEW 9/3*The Epilogue, DONE* p. 54

Just marking my spot. I'm hoping you reveal the rest before my trip comes around.

Ahhhhhh, Horseybabe! Have you surrendered to the children, the horses, and the lure of summer vacation? Utahmama was right - we DO need closure!

Hi - I feel bad for asking, especially since I am new, but I have really enjoy your TR and looking forward for more. Your Disney trip and the one by the lake made me remember the times with my grandparents. My Dad's family had a cottage on a pond in MA. Loved my summers there. As well as Disney with my Mom's parents.

I have to subscribe. I can't believe there's no ending........ Can't wait to hear. Hope all is well.

Beautiful people, I am here. To try to finsih. I must. Now. We leave for Diz on Wednesday at 6:10 am. I am trying to crank out the ending for this lil' tale. So here goes Part 20...

2/15/2006- Day 5 continued- Part 20- Why are their heads so big?

kidsmk.jpg

Our early morning in Frontierland was a splashing success and we set out to take a spin with the haunts at the mansion. It was actually warm and sunny and we were all able to shed our jackets for the first time during this trip. We ran into Woody and Jesse and stopped for a quick hello with them.

kidswoodyjessy.jpg

Our little Stitch, Jack, would not let go of me and clung for dear life. People, the heads on these things are humongous. To a small child they are alien like. Couldn’t they just tone down those crowns just a little? Jack just kept shaking his head and covering his eyes, but morbid curiosity got the better of him, and he would peak out from behind my neck to get another look. Why did I stay in line with him you wonder? I was stuck as Carson was really into his interaction with them, and the others were gone getting a snack, so I was unable to just mosey on away. So Jack was subjected to a few moments with some Toy Story friends and after a while he sort of warmed up.... Finally as we walked away, he mumbled something about missing Buzz.

We were all in a merry mood as we got to the home of the 999 ghosts. I looked for the 1000th happy haunt……My family had no idea what I was referring to. The kids eyes were huge as we entered. They all insisted on going despite our attempts at dissuasion. Little hands clung to the adults, especially as the pictures on the walls revealed the moving eyes. They allowed themselves to be herded onto the doomsbuggies and sat frozen, eyes transfixed on the apparitions. None of them made a peep, nor did they crack a smile. You know that feeling of relief when you survive a close call? This is the jubilation they had when they emerged, unscathed. None of them cried or appeared traumatized, but no one screamed “again, again, again!” either. We hauled over to fantasyland and found the noonday crowd all milling around. Everything was packed. It is true what they say about going counterclockwise at MK, we almost always do that. The morning crowd that had started in Tomorrowland, were now funneled into all the kiddie rides here. We’d done all these rides the first two days, and the kids were not eager to wait in line in the heat. So we made a decision to work our way out of the park. We were breathing easy and Jack had but one request, another spin on Buzz. So we made our way through the throngs and grabbed fast passes. As it so happened, a CM, standing there handed us a group of fast passes. I do not know why, but it was our lucky moment. So we got a chance to zip through Buzz, not one but two times, much to Jack’s delight.

kidsbuzz.jpg

It was one o’clock. This was the time to leave the very crowded Magic Kingdom. We decided to head to Animal Kingdom for their extra magic hour evening. But as we were heading out, we stopped once more in Frontierland and got a fastpass for the Jungle cruise. Still corny, still shmaltzy, still jungly...yup for auld lang syne, do the cruise...

As we headed out at 2 ish, we ran into a couple of Jungle Book boys. Here is Schuyler messin' it up with Baloo and Blue...

kidsbaloo.jpg

Then Pluto came strolling out. I am not pregnant....Jackson hid under my shirt. The characters were just too intimidating for him this trip. :teeth:

kidspluto.jpg

It felt great to leave the crowds behind and we took the ferry to the transportation center to grab a bus.

Up next- Wild about AK

Horseysweetponygirl ... So glad you are back. Until you're gone again! I'm so excited for your impending trip. Whoo hoo!

Thank you for coming back to finish ... we need closure!

Day 5- 2/15/2006 Part 21- We're Wild about Animal Kingdom and Cuckoo for Cocoapuffs!
We were cool, relaxed and very happy. We got to AK around 4. We were curious about Everest’s lines, and truthfully, mommy selfishly needed another Yeti fix.

akee-1.jpg

The line was out of Asia, but we got a fast pass and had some time to kill. So we headed to one of our favorite of favorites, the Festival of the Lion King.

aklionking1.jpg

Okay, I think the jumping monkeys are really ugly in their costumes. I know someone could design more appealing outfits, but man can those guys move! I read somewhere that they are all actually professional gymnasts, Olympic quality. So their skills make up for their unappealing appearance. Can I just say I am in love with the King?

aklionking2.jpg

That man is a god, truly; magnificent, powerful but possessing a sensitive aura, and that voice! Oh, I wuvs him so. He is a real man, gals, d’accord? This is a show of shows, a spectacular, spectacular. Do not miss this uplifting and joyous show. Can you tell I liked this just a little bit?

akee.jpg

Afterwards, we headed back to Asia and got to head up to the Himalayas again. Carson and Schuyler could barely contain their excitement. They really began studying all the artifacts in the lines, but the down side of the fast pass is you miss a great deal of neat cool stuff.

akyeti.jpg

We did the babyswitch and with all the tickets got to go three times more….Jack sat with his grandmother consuming a bag of gummy worms. And off they went to ride the Triceratops spin, his personal favorite. In fact, this is the ride he has been talking about ever since….his dinosaur ride, not THE Dinosaur ride….the scary one.

We strolled around enjoying the music and wildlife. My appreciation for this park grows. It is the largest of the parks, yet seems so intimate. We still have barely scratched the surface of all there is to see and do here. We decide to start here again in the morning.

We dine at the Flametree barbeque. This is a charming place to grab a bite. There are great views of Everest out back by the lagoon. The fairy lights at night made a fantastic atmosphere and relaxing way to end the day.

Little Jackson did not have many requests this trip other than wanting to see Mickey Mouse. We had not seen him anywhere other than the Spectro parade and at the opening at MK, and those were both at a distance. As we were preparing to make our way out of the park, both Mickey and Minnie showed up for a greet. There were only a few in line. We waited for our turn and Jack was thrilled, overjoyed even to finally see “the Mouse”. I thought for sure he would be ready to shake a hand, or give a hug. Nah, not our Stitch. He got up to them and froze. Poor little tyke, just got all stage frightened and hid once more.

akmm.jpg

We got this one pic, with him actually facing the camera, but he never did hug or interact with the characters, not even Mickey on this one night.

Up next. We just gotta go back to AK.

Fantastic as always. Love the idea of gummy worms to distract with.

the pics were a great touch and everyone looked very happy.

Hope your next trip goes as well.

Ehem. My sincere apologies.

I am rude, disorganized and otherwise pre-occupied. DIStracted, in a word. I failed to give shoutouts to all you peeps who replied over the past month, cheering me on.

So here goes, then I will work on Part 22......

Ashclan, you have been here from the start. You will be writing 2 trippies in the fall after your not one, but count'em two extravagent trips, right mama?

Lil' G- Great to see you dude. Please stop in again, you refreshing head clearer you....

EEyeore22- I hate the drop, I love the drop. Your lil chillens will go on their own time. Just make sure you have a family member take them to Tom Sawyer Island while you go! Get that drop on girl!

Pigglet74- Thaks for the double dose o' love. Hope your kiddo feels better.

Greatbiscuit! Greaat Scott! You seem nifty too!

ClareD- I am so appreciative that my words floated over the drink to you in jolly England and kept you company without your dear hubby. I am certain that the DIS in general keeps you otherwise occupied..... :teeth:

Tricia1972- Thanks for subscribing! Guess I didn't fill up your email too much, huh?

Fizz13- I have been off the boards for a month until a few days ago. Have you begun that report to steal my thunder? And I see by your countdown you go again when I am there! Aha, what is your secret to going so many times from across the big blue sea?

agoofymom- Keep nagging DH, or do what I do, just book it and tell him you are going. He will either join you, or stay and work. Hmmmm, what would any of us do with that choice? Good luck getting your baby on the rides, but let her go at her own pace. Eventually they get on, at least the carousel.

nowellsl- Yep, that spot gets me everytime. If only the whole ride was available until that place, and then one could take a detour. Well, the wimpy ones like me anyway.... ;)

Sneezie! Listen lil one. The $1,600 is coming before tomorrow night, as we will be at the Contemporary by then. I promise....

ThisMomLuvsDisney! Hello in Auburn! Glad to hear your DD is inspired. How old is she? And I cannot wait to do a mother/daughter trip with my girl. I am thinking maybe next year....

Mikayla! You are a nut. Your dh is right. What kind though? :teeth:

kimberh- I do not know what the heck my problem was. I just couldn't write. But dang I am motivated now....thanks for taking time to say hi.

Utahmama! I have too much to say here. I thank you for your multiple bumps, pms and general love ootions. I will be reading, mother....

Carrie Ellis- Thanks for subbing. Knowing people actually are interested never ceases to amaze me.

Momrek06- Hay woman! Sorry for the hiatus and thanks for the well wishes. Had a little bit of a maelstrom going on in my life, but I got through the storm.....Thanks sweetheart! You are the best!

bahsdad! You are the sugar to my coffee. The hot fudge to my sundae. The icing to my cake, kind sir. Thanks for the sweetness. :yay:

Mara- Thanks you, thank you, thank you. Your kindness touched me. And ride on, ride off woman.

KJMax1- My calculations put you in the world with me! Tomorrow is it or are you there? You deserve a medal along with mommyp. 4 little babies deserves lithium, valium or at least a bottle of something strong, like tequilla! Good luck! and look for my lime green ribbon!

Dreamer and Wisher! Here ya' go! You fly in when we fly out! I will tip my hat to ya' and btw, I am one to....a D & Wer....

Mommymonster- Thanks for being patient. I have no excuse....

hickchick! Love your ID. I am a bumpkin too! Just ask my pals.....Hayseed all the way. Loved your DD's comment about the shoes. How do these kids get so fashion forward so fast?

sbpuckett- marking your spot? Did ya use a tree? Just teasin'... :teeth: Yup, i am finishing this pupster by tomorrow night....so it shall be complete by the time you leave....

Lindababe- Thanks for being a loyal fan. Yup, the vortex of life sucked me in. Luckily I was able to get out. I am one horse less today. My oldest mare went to live on another farm. I am happy for the children and that family but very sad. She was with us for 9 years. She left Saturday.... :sad2:

RunningthroughDisney- We do that too, run thru dis.....Please do not feel bad for asking me to finish. I feel badly for neglecting this and all of you....Thanks so much for taking time to post.

mmmcq- There is an ending, it just needs to be in black and white and technicolor. It is approaching, as you can now see!

kpk89! Hay you fellow trippie writer! Thanks for the love, woman! I gots to get my patootie over to your place. Slowly catching up after my hiatus. I need some laughter from your silly story! Sorry I missed you and we will reschedule.....

Eyeore's Tiara! Thanks you, and I see by your post count that you are talking up a storm here on these boards! 162 posts since August 2006! Wow! You go girl!

Haleybug! Thanks baby. Yup, I went from not posting any pics, from paranoia to a picture frenzy. Glad Zzub doesn't care about me, or he'd be on my case....Now woman. When are you going to finish? I think we are close to the same schedule..... :teeth:

princessjv! Thank you so much! Nope no sweaters or coats. But what about the BO from all the humidity. I need a clothespin I think! Should be interesting....

Sewer! I know exactly what you are saying. I make no sense. There is something about our own germs that doesn't make me puke. It is as simple as that I guess. My husband remarked on this not long ago when we were cleaning the horse stalls. Horse mess doesn't bother me at all, but the handle of a bathroom door, makes me nearly gag....What can I say? I am a puzzle...

Nicolemarie! Thanks so much sweetie. Yup, I just said to Haley, I went from total paranoia, to well, revealing all of us. Not sure why, but I did. And yes, that fella next to Mickey is DJ. And yes, he is one very tall handsome chap. Woman gaze at him and swoon. Funny thing is, he is oblivious, and as humble as well, humble pie....whatever that is. He is also the salt of the earth, a regular swell.

soxnation! Thanks. And ouch, those Yanks did a number on us, huh?

Georgia Aristocat! Thanks so much girl! You are such a sweet pea. You will hear from me soon! And maybe you will hear about this trip.....if I can get this one done, I might be more inclined.

Lisa Belle- Thank you so much for your patience... and your sweet words!

offwegotoneverland- Thanks woman. Yup, gummy's work everytime....

HORSEY GIRL!!!!!!!

Our hopes and dreams and prayers have come true!!!!
