Any suggestions? I have had this trip planned for almost a year, and now 10 days stretches before me like an eternity. It is mainly the days left at work (7.5 of them) that are particularly tedious at this point. I have already thought of taking the remaining days left off, but that really isn't a good option. CAN'T WAIT TO GO!!!

Well RC I guess we'll just go insane together, We leave on the 7th and i'm just about to bust. I already packed my 2 year olds suitcase (he has tons of clothes) but I cant for the rest of us. I just keep worrying about what I still need to buy and afraid that I'll forget something!!!
So hang in there you're not alone!!!!

Id like to know the answer too cause we leave in 10 and it seems like an eternity away

Sorry, I don't think there is an answer! I know my stomach was in KNOTS before our last trip....and I'll be like that again in December!

I have 11 days left and each day is draaaagggging by. I told my mom last night I was getting really excited for my trip and she said she doesn't let herself get excited for a trip until midnight the night before she leaves  :confused3 Oh well- she's driving us to the airport on mother's day when we leave :rotfl2: ha ha

I agree it is painful to watch these last 6 days creep by. However, I have a new plan. Each day I am going to perform a DELUXE cleaning of a room in the house. That way when I return home from Disney... I can relax because I had a great vacation and the house look beautiful and no work to do. I can just sit back and watch all of the vacation videos and re-live the wonderful moments.

Example:

Tuesday, April 26 - Laundry room
Wednesday, April 27 - Office/Exercise Room
Thursday, April 28 - Living/Dining Room
Friday, April 29 - Lower Level Bathroom/Kitchen
Saturday, April 30 - Upper Level Bathroom/Hallway/Steps
Sunday, May 1 - Bedrooms

House Super Clean!

Monday, May 2 - Final Pack!
Tuesday, May 3 - Off to Disney - SuperShuttle at 4:30 a.m.

Just my way of killing time until May 3!

Great Idea, Lsteadman, can you come clean my house too?

Me too, I have been catching up with the Laudry since yesterday. :confused3 Took yesterday OFF from work to start it! Today I am off, so I had 3 days to get things done....need to get off this board and finish up! :sad2: ;)

This will be my first trip ever and I am so excited. I do not even leave for 23 days but I am so excited I can't stand it. I have wanted to go all of my life but could never afford to go and now I am finally going. I keep trying to use the wrong date at work on all of my paperwork so I am just creating new work correcting what I messed up on. This will be my very first post. Yeah!!

I usually go on mental vacation around 2pm the day before I leave at work. My boss would say I was never really there anyway. I look at it as I have small breaks from my Disneyworld vacations that I spend at work. Good thing he doesn't read this site.

I'm usually so busy getting everything ready that it keeps my mind busy. Making certain that all the laundry is done, the house is reasonably clean, the fridge is cleaned out (who wants to come home to a dirty fridge - yuck!), everything is packed ('cause you know there are things that can only be packed at the last minute). The last night though, before any trip, I usually don't get much sleep.

I leave in 10 days as well, and I'm having the exact same problem! My problem is that I'm a stay-at-home mom with a DD in 2nd grade, and I have NOTHING to do until we leave to make the time pass more quickly! All my volunteer committments are over for now, my trip shopping is done, and I have no errands that need to be run. I've been cleaning my house a little bit every day, and doing small loads of laundry, but that only takes up so much time. I find myself parked in front of the computer, staring at the Dis Boards, or standing in front of my guest bed, which has become my trip "staging area", staring at all the things I've laid out so far, trying to figure out how I can organize them even more. I may go nuts before next Friday!

Glad to have you here! You will love being a part of the wonderful chats that go on here! Everyone is so knowledgable and helpful when others are not so much so! Enjoy.

We don't leave for 67 days (July 11) but I'm still so excited now that the trip is actually "on the books!"

One problem that I had last year was that we were driving from north of St. Louis. I get so excited, too, that I can't sleep the night before. Then we have to drive 17 hours to get to WDW! But, suprisingly enough, last year, we made the trip and I never really got tired! I guess it was all of the adrenalin!

Im in the same boat! Crawling out of my skin! Our Wedding is May 7th and we leave for WDW on May 8th! I can honestly say that I have never been so excited about anything in my life!! RC, I feel your pain about work...I have 6 work days left and the days seem endless when I am there!!

I have you all beat ONE day and a wakeup. I cut grass for two days and tonight I am going to weed wack. I have been doing laundry but have not been packing. I will probably start tonight. :rotfl:

I think the question should be:
How do I maintain my sanity after I've been back home for 10 days?!
I know what you mean, though. It is tough waiting for the big day.

so true MiJo

but honestly...i have months until I go and I am just flippin' out here!!!!!
