How to know when we can make ADRs on new system

Our trip is scheduled for Feb. and so our 180 window opens in August...but we can't make ADRs because the new system won't be up until supposedly sometime in Oct. How will we know when the new system is going to open?

Also, will we still be able to make ADRs by phone?

if you are doing CM, CRT or V&A the 180 days still apply. There is discussion of an October start-up for the system but I have also seen Fall 2009. The best thing to do is follow the boards and updates on a regular basis. It's likely that the TAs and others will be informed about the changes shortly prior to initiation. For example Undercover Tourist posted that ticket prices were going to increase a few days prior to the official announcement. It was posted on the Tips board and we, along with others, saved some money by buyinh tickets a little ahead of time.

Ok--never mind. I found my own answer on allears. Oct. 24 is when the system is supposed to be up.

Be warned that the phone lines will be jammed on October 24th will all these Dis-ers who haven't been able to make their dining reservations yet.

That's good to know. I don't make mine until November 30.
