So, a coworker of dh won 2 one day passes for MK a while ago and was not going to use them and offered to sell them to us for a reduced cost. The tickets have a date printed on the back, 04/02/15. Since I think they stopped selling non expiring tickets right before that date, do you think this ticket has expired? How long are they good for? We don't want to buy them if they are expired, of course. He says he was told they would not expire when he won them. I believe they were won at a fundraiser. Any thoughts???

Unless there is an explicit expiration date on the back of those tickets, they will never expire if they are unused.

A use by date was introduced in 2016 for 1 day tickets and was expanded to all daily tickets in 2017. The use by date is set to 12/31 of the following year (purchase in 2017, use by date is 12/31/2018).

As for the (no longer available) no-expire option, that was to keep unused entitlements on a partially used ticket from expiring.

Every Disney ticket I've seen auctioned off for charity had an expiration, blackout dates, AND can't be upgraded in any way. I would guess those tickets are expired.

Call Disney ticketing. My wife and I had two 5 day hoppers from 2004. We had only used them 2 days. When I called, they looked up the numbers on the backs of the cards and there was indeed 3 days left. We will have to exchange them at a ticket booth, but we'll only have to buy one ticket next week for my son!

I only have a picture of the ticket and just the date I mentioned is on the back. It doesn't say anything about restrictions, except that it can't be used for special events. It looks like a regular ticket with a picture of Goofy on the front.

I just got some clarification from dh. The tickets were NOT from a fundraiser as I thought. They got them when the did some kind of time share tour down in Orlando.
Load them on the MDE ap and it now shows how many days remain on unused tickets.
I cannot do this, unfortunately, because we did not buy the tickets from him and so they are not ours yet. I can't scratch off the numbers until we pay him for them. So, that is why I am concerned. I don't want to buy expired tickets. We will be stuck with them!
