I am considering bringing my camera but do not want it to get drenched and am wondering how water tight the raft's watertight compartments really are...any ideas or ideas on how to keep it dry. my case is not waterproof and too big for a baggie, do not really want to buy a wp case for basically 1 ride and figure the lockers are probably all the way over at the other side of the a park, having never been to AK .

Things can get a bit wet in the center container, its definately not totally water tight. I had a few things I didn't want to get wet and I simply asked for a plastic bag at the gift shop prior to using our KRR fastpass. I am sure that a plastic wdw bag in addition to your camera case and placing it into the center container will keep it dry. You could also put a larger, (gallon or 2 gallon?) zip lock into the camera case in the morning - that should do the trick.

yeah, I guess i do not really need to keep the *case* dry just the camera( duh !for me:o ) so I'll just put every thing *inside* the case into a zip lock... sometimes these simple things escape me.....

Sightly off topic, but similar......I was on a similar ride at Universal Studios in California & they sold ponchos in vending machines before you get on the ride. Do they have these at AK, or are you up the creek (so to speak)?

off the top of my head i dont remember seeing a vending machine but you can get them at almost every store that you see...

as for the ziplock baggy idea...

that works wonders!

The center can be wet. Definatly use a ziplock or anothe plactic bag/poncho to wrap it in.

Is there any way to keep me and hubby dry??

Will panchos do the trick? or will we still get we?

Are there better places to sit that will keep us dry?

And don't go calling us old fogies!?!?!?!? hahahahaha

:earseek:

for your camera for sure and put it in the center storage. As far as keeping youself dry....forget it! We have been SOAKED everytime we have ever ridden it. Last week, some folks riding with us did the whole pancho thing and ended up almost as wet. It depends on where you sit but pretty much everyone gets pretty wet. Do it right before you leave the park and ENJOY!!!!!
