I just booked our trip yesterday for Sept. I want so bad not to tell my girls that we are going cause they don't except to be going until 2008. How do you do it. It has only been one day and I am going crazy.

Makdyn,

Congratulations! And good luck on keeping the secret! I know exactly how you feel. Two years ago, we suprized our kids with a trip to Disney for Star Wars Weekend. I was going nuts for two months! There were times when I would just have to walk out of the room for fear of saying something. (DH threatened to put duct tape over my mouth!)

But, I managed to keep the secret and it was worth it. We met them at their bus stop after school and told them we were going to Disney World, TONIGHT! The looks on their faces were priceless! They felt they were dreaming when they woke up in DW the next morning. They never imagined that that weekend they would be in Disney!

We video taped it when we told them. We also have videos of them that weekend. Over and over you hear them saying that they can't believe they are in Disney.

Good luck. I know it's going to be a very long summer for you!

Enjoy!

Yes I plan on video taping them as well. We are leaving in the morning so I am not telling them until we get to the airport. I just want to scream WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY!!!!!!

I totally can't keep a secret. I planned on surprising my daughter with her Playhouse Disney tickets, and that lasted about 2 minutes. I told her as soon as I booked. When I did the cruise, we had fun planning together. We made a countdown calendar, and had fun crossing off each day, and we looked at tons of photos and we all got excited together.

We booked our trip in February for our October visit. We told the boys that we wouldn't be going to WDW until youngest DS (currently 3) is 6. So, this is 3 years sooner than expected! We just bought a brand new travel trailer, so we're pulling that to Fort Wilderness. And both sets of grandparents are going along too. We're planning on telling them in September that we are going to South Carolina for vacation (this is our over night stop on the way down). Then the next morning after breakfast, we're going to tell them that we decided to drive a little farther south. Hopefully they'll get the hint when they start seeing all the Disney signs!!! I can't wait. But I totally know where you're coming from......this secret has been KILLING me!! I'm so excited and I can't share that with the boys yet. But I know in the end it is all worth it. Good luck!!

We too have a "surprise" trip to WDW planned for our 2 kids for Labor Day weekend. I am still working on how we are going to surprise them. I think we will tell them that we have to drive daddy to the airport for a business trip and see how long that works. I would love to keep the secret up until we get to the airport but I just may burst before then:rotfl:
