How to Introduce my new Puppy to my other dog?

I am getting our new dog on Friday. My other dog just turned a year.. How do I go about brining them into the house together with out dog drama? I was thinking about takeing my 1 year old dog with me to get the new puppy ( my 1 year old dog LOVES car rides)

When we brought home our female we had her on one side of the gate and my male on the other. That way they smelled each other with a barrier. It was love at first sight so we had no issues but they are huge dogs and I needed to make sure.

They both get along well with other dogs. If your dog does also it should be a non-issue.

Have them meet somewhere off your property and let them get to know each other. Then move into your property.
